Treasurer's Report:

As of August 1, there is a balance of $11,620.18 in the account. There was a check made out for $708.01 for Insurance and deposits in the amount of $183.00 made for plot reservations payments. There is still a family that has a large outstanding balance for plot reservations so discussion with them will be had. The cemetery water bill is still approximately $15/month and there is still a $72.10 credit. Vicky will make a deposit of $200 when the credit gets down to $50.

Historic Site:

The cemetery is a historical site and there was a comment regarding grants for maintenance as well as having our plaque placed on site. The process was begun but was not completed. If there are elders that have information on the history of the cemetery, please reach out to us.

SH 130 Truck Stop:

The cemetery received information about construction for the new truck stop being built directly in front of the cemetery. Please see attached information regarding the proposed project.

Open comments:

· The cemetery had A LOT of trash including many beer cans. PLEASE take your trash when you come to visit your loved ones. We will all need to work together to keep our cemetery clean and sanitary. If your family members are not on this email, please speak to them as well about taking their own trash.
· There was discussion about implementing a clean-up fee for new reservations/burials as this has been increasingly more difficult to keep up with cleaning as more trash is accumulating.
· There was discussion regarding cameras being placed on site to monitor unrelated individuals using the cemetery to drink.
· There was discussion regarding reaching out to the contractors to ask if lighting can be placed facing the cemetery to help with security. Bonnie will reach out to them.
· There was discussion about post cards being sent out in October encouraging end-of-year donations to receive a tax deduction.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:10 am.
