OSL Lions are growing "Rooted in Christ!"

This week we had an all school chapel. We introduced faith families that included PreK-8th grade students. Mrs. Chandler shared a message about staying Rooted in Christ by following Jesus, our shepherd. After chapel the faith family groups gathered together and were led by the 7th/8th graders in an activity reinforcing the lesson.

Our Savior's theme this year is "Let's Grow!" Our Pre2-8th grade students gather together each week in the sanctuary for chapel. This week preschool chapel was led by Mrs. Baneck and K-8 by Pastor Rupe. It's great to have the opportunity to "Share Christ's Love-Centered in God's Word" with our students and families.

As part of our back to school events the OSL staff did a team bonding activity which included creating their very own chocolate bar with the factory tour as well as lunch!

The rainy morning couldn't dampen the spirits of the OSL community as we welcomed students to the 2026-2027 school year! It's great to see all the smiling faces. Let's Grow! Rooted in Christ!

Our Savior celebrated the commissioning of Ella Gudgel into the teaching ministry during our Celebration of School service. We also installed Deaconess Juliana Burgell to serve as our 1st/2nd grade teacher! We are so blessed with an amazing staff. Please continue to keep them in prayer as the school year begins on Wednesday.

OSL Faculty and Staff have made the preparations and are ready to begin the school year! August preparations included opening in the sanctuary, trainings, professional developments, and classroom visits. Please join us for Celebration of School Sunday, this Sunday, August 16 at 10:30 am where our new staff will be introduced and installed. This will be followed by a potluck luncheon. Back to School Night is Monday, August 17 from 6-7:30 pm.

PART TIME MAINTENANCE WORKER NEEDED

Our Savior is looking for a part-time maintenance worker to become part of our ministry team. This paid “handy man" position is for 20-25 hours per week. Knowledge of general repair in plumbing, heating/cooling, and electrical is needed. Please send your resume to [email protected], attention Doris.
