đź’™ For 25 years, Akhilesh and his family have dedicated their lives to serving others through Embrace a Village.
What began as a calling became a lifelong mission.
Together, Akhilesh and his wife Saritha have faithfully cared for leprosy-affected families across Tamil Nadu—bringing compassion, dignity, encouragement, and hope to people often forgotten by society.
Their daughters, Stephanie and Crystal, have grown up watching that example of service and are now carrying those same values into the future.
✨ Their story is a beautiful reminder that lasting change often begins with people willing to serve faithfully year after year.

At 58 years old, leprosy has made everyday life incredibly difficult. Painful ulcers, limited mobility, and financial hardship became part of his daily reality.

But today, he is no longer facing those challenges alone.
Through Embrace a Village, Subramani receives monthly rice support, regular ulcer care, self-care supplies, and the encouragement that comes from knowing someone genuinely cares.

Many come from homes affected by leprosy, where resources are limited and support is hard to find.

At 66 years old, Sargunam lives with his wife in a remote village in Tamil Nadu. Decades after being diagnosed with leprosy, he still faces the daily challenges the disease has left behind.
But today, he no longer faces them alone.

Through Embrace a Village, Sargunam receives monthly rice support, regular ulcer care, and something equally important—human connection.
Each visit reminds him that he has not been forgotten.

At 82, Sengodan once faced each day uncertain if he would eat. After leprosy took his strength and his ability to work, survival became a daily struggle.

In a modest hut weathered by heat and rain, Lawrance lives with very little—but carries quiet strength, deep perseverance, and enduring faith.
Before leprosy changed his life, he worked long days in the fields and lived with the dignity of providing for himself. But as illness and stigma grew, work disappeared, relationships faded, and Lawrance was pushed to the margins.
Still, he refused to beg. He held tightly to his dignity.
For more than two decades, Embrace a Village has helped provide Lawrance with monthly rice—offering more than food. It brings stability, relief, and the reminder that he has not been forgotten.

Balakrishnan lives in a remote village, where leprosy has taken his ability to work and left him with painful wounds. Through Embrace A Village, he now receives regular medical care and a monthly supply of rice—simple support that means he no longer goes hungry and knows he is not forgotten.
