Good Morning V.G.C. Family,

The best thing I saw this week at Valley Grace Church was one of our church deacons weeding and watering the garden in front of our church. Thank you Pia for your servant heart and generous spirit. We appreciate you. All of us can follow Pia's example and bring a servant heart and generous spirit to our next All-Church Work Day on Saturday, August 8th. I hope to see you all there.

Thank you to everyone one who helped cook, clean, and set up at our three Dinner and a Movie nights this summer. We enjoyed delicious meals, inspiring movies, and encouraging fellowship. Thank you to everyone who attended. See you at our next Dinner and a Movie night in July 2027.

Tomorrow is Communion Sunday. It is a day we gather to remind ourselves that we all have a common Savior, a common Lord, a common hope, and a common faith. In a world of division, it is so good and important to unite together around our devotion to Jesus Christ. Our Worship Service, children's program, and nursery care all begin at 10am in our church sanctuary. If you are unable to worship with us in person, you can join us by using this LINK.

Great America Day after church with Family Ministry 🎢

Good Morning V.G.C. Family,

Thank you to our Deacons for serving a delicious 4th of July lunch on Sunday. Thank you, also, to David Lanoue for adding homemade chili to the menu. It is always good when our church gathers together around the table and tastes good food.

You are invited to join us this Wednesday, July 8, beginning at 6pm in Taylor Hall for prayer, fellowship, and food. We will lift up to God the needs, concerns, and praises of our church, our community, and each other. Let's see what God will do.

Jesus declared, “No one is good—except God alone (Mark 10:18; Luke 18:19).” In saying this, Jesus was stating that God is the ultimate standard of all that is good. Only God is perfectly moral, just, and kind and acts in accordance with what is right, true, and good all the time. Goodness is part of God’s inherent nature. His goodness is expressed through His loving-kindness, mercy, grace, and generosity. God’s goodness is seen in His plan to send His Son to suffer and die for us so we could be redeemed and forgiven of our sins. In His goodness, God dealt with the most consequential and devastating thing that any of us must deal with, our sinful condition. In His goodness God secured eternal life in heaven for us, so that no matter how difficult or challenging this life may be, it will never compare to what God has prepared for us for eternity. Perhaps you struggle to believe and receive the goodness of God in your life. Take time this week to read about God’s goodness and ask God to help you be thankful that He is good.

Monday: Read 1 Chronicles 16:7-36. What does this passage teach me about the goodness of God? How will I thank God for His goodness and share His goodness with others today?
