Huge Yard Sale at Pine Grove Church Delta Road, Saturday- Come on out!

Tons of bargains! Antique clock, bikes, tilt back chairs, bed frames and mattresses, dog cage and other pet supplies, plants, a bunny, scarecrows and other holiday decorations, clothes galore and food: Maple donuts, Brogue subs, great coffee!

Here is a story of our old neighbor on Union Church Rd. He we a fine man and good neighbor.

Clark Eveler, holding his son, Robert. Clark worked for Warner's Dairy. He served in the Army in WWII. While in battle at Troina, Sicily, he was injured and lost his right arm. While in the hospital, he was visted by General Patton and Eleanor Roosevelt. He was awarded a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star, and a Silver Star. A member of The Greatest Generation.

Over the next few weeks the church yard and cemetery ground between church and the first drive in the cemetery is going to be tilled, old grass removed, new topsoil added to level the yard, and reseeded with grass. The grass seed will be done by a hydro seed process. Therefore to protect tombstones and such they will be wrapped in plastic. As weather cooperates will judge how long it will take to complete. This project is being funded by the Cemetery Association. If any questions or concerns please direct them to Dale Keesey, president, email [email protected] or phone 717-515-0275.
We hope by doing this project it will repair all the divets, uneven spots, and damage from the cows and ruts from the equipment from roof repairs and bell install. Also to enhance the beauty of the church and cemetery with a beautiful yard.
