Jesus closes His teaching with a sobering warning: a verbal confession of faith is not enough. Not everyone who calls Jesus “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of the Father.
In Matthew 7:21–23, Jesus confronts the danger of relying on religious activity, good works, or even an outward profession of faith while never truly knowing Him. The issue isn’t simply what we say or what we do—it is whether our lives demonstrate genuine faith and obedience to Christ.
This message challenges us to examine the foundation of our faith. Are we trusting in our confession, our accomplishments, or our religious activity? Or are we truly trusting in Christ and allowing His Word to shape how we live?
Join us as we consider Jesus’ warning and ask an important question: Do we merely know about Jesus, or do we truly know Him?

Jesus warns us to beware of false prophets—those who may appear harmless on the outside but whose teaching and lives reveal something very different.

In Matthew 7:15–20, Jesus gives us a simple test: look at the fruit. A healthy tree produces good fruit, and a diseased tree produces bad fruit. In the same way, we are called to examine what a teacher produces rather than being persuaded simply by their confidence, popularity, position, or appearance.

This message challenges us to look beyond appearances and examine both the voices we listen to and the fruit being produced in our own lives.

Join us as we study God’s Word and learn to recognize what is true, follow Christ—the true Shepherd—and examine our own fruit honestly.

In Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus presents a clear choice between two paths: the wide road that leads to destruction and the narrow road that leads to life. The wide path is easy and appealing because it follows our natural desires, while the narrow path requires repentance, faith, obedience, and a willingness to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

Jesus reminds us that the choice is ultimately ours. Following Christ means leaving our old way of life behind and trusting Him as we pursue the life He offers. The narrow road may be difficult, but it leads to true life and eternal hope.

Join us as we continue through the Sermon on the Mount and consider the path we are choosing, what may be pulling us away from Christ, and what it truly means to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
