Join us all summer long for our new sermon series: “The Power of a Hungry Church”
A hungry church is dangerous to darkness.
Not a church hungry for popularity, platforms, applause, numbers, or performance but a church hungry for the presence of God, truth, transformation, and authentic encounter.
A hungry church cannot be manipulated by culture because hunger gives discernment.
A hungry church cannot stay stagnant because hunger creates movement.
A hungry church cannot survive on routine because hunger demands fresh bread.
In scripture, whenever people became hungry, heaven responded.
* Hungry people cried out.
* Hungry people pressed in.
* Hungry people tore roofs open.
* Hungry people left crowds to touch Jesus.
* Hungry people stayed in upper rooms until power came.
God has always responded to spiritual appetite.
A hungry church produces:
* prayer that carries fire,
* worship with weight,
* repentance that is real,
* leaders that stay humble,
* people that pursue transformation over entertainment,
* and a culture where miracles, healing, deliverance, wisdom, and conviction can flow freely.
The greatest danger to the church is not persecution it is becoming full without God.
Because when hunger disappears:
* passion fades,
* prayer becomes optional,
* worship becomes performance,
* and people become satisfied with form but empty of power.
But when a church becomes hungry again:
* revival awakens,
* unity increases,
* gifts activate,
* people heal,
* vision becomes clear,
* and cities begin to feel the impact.
A hungry church says:
“We refuse to be comfortable while there is still more of God to experience.”
The future belongs to churches that are still hungry.
“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
Matthew 5:6
