in John 10:11, Jesus makes the statement "I am The Good Shepherd". As Jesus was speaking to a group of Jewish people, they should have understood the implications of what Jesus was saying, but they didn't. These passages carry great significance because of the claims that Jesus was making. In John 14:6 Jesus makes it even clearer, He says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life".

Never trust your mouth when your heart is bitter. In Matthew 12:34 Jesus says, "Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks". What Jesus was saying there was that we don't have a mouth problem, we have a heart problem.

Mark Twain (Paraphrased) "A cat who sits on a hot stove will never again, but they will never sit on a cold one either". And so it is with us after being hurt, we became fearful and afraid. When things happen to us that leave a scar fear has its way in our life. Trusting in Jesus helps us to overcome the things that have overcome us.
