A special session of stake conference will be held on Sunday, September 13, from 10:00–11:30 a.m. at the Federal Way Stake Center.

Please Join Us! All are welcome.

Elder Hugo E. Martinez, General Authority Seventy, will preside and teach us.

This special stake conference will not replace our regularly scheduled stake conference in November.

Spirit of Volunteerism and JustServe Recognized by Federal Way City Council

The Federal Way City Council proclaimed September 11, 2026, as Community Volunteerism Awareness Day.

Highlighting JustServe.org as a tool to connect local volunteers with community needs.

Councilmember Jack Walsh(Left in photo) presented the proclamation to Federal Way Stake President Christoph Reiner(Right in photo) and JustServe Specialist Colleen Elkington(center).

Before reading the official text, Councilmember Walsh invited everyone in the room who volunteers—with city commissions, food banks, civic clubs, or faith groups—to stand. Nearly the entire chamber stood to be recognized!

"Through JustServe and our partnerships, we are committed to looking for meaningful ways to contribute—because we believe strong communities are built when neighbors care for neighbors," said President Reiner.

JustServe Specialist Colleen Elkington encouraged everyone to get involved: “If you're looking for ways to serve right here in Federal Way, check out JustServe.org to see where help is needed most.”

Beginning September 1 at 11 a.m. MDT, guests may reserve tickets for the Salt Lake Temple open house tours.

The Salt Lake Temple Celebration, scheduled for April 5 through October 1, 2027, will invite visitors from around the world to experience the renovated Salt Lake Temple either in person or through online virtual experiences.
