Journey Kids Christian School (formerly Kingdom Kids Christian School) is a ministry of Journey Church in Federal Way, WA. We offer a Bible-based early childhood education for children ages 3 to 6 that is also developmentally appropriate for each age and stage. At JKCS, we strive to make sure that every student who graduates from our program, is more than prepared for the next step in their educat

ion. That preparation includes academic learning, but even more importantly for this age, we place a heavy emphasis on social-emotional learning and working with a growth mindset. Our ultimate goal is that children discover a love of learning, a love for their friends and classmates and to know Jesus loves them.

Our Story

After decades of love and support from Steel Lake Presbyterian Church, they sold their facility in the spring of 2017 to move to a smaller location. So, Journey Church welcomed us to join their family and we became part of their children’s ministries here! We then became Kingdom Kids Christian School! We have been growing our program and in the fall of 2018, we began a half-day kindergarten class. Everyone at KKCS shares a passion for Jesus and teaching His littlest learners. Our hope is that every child will receive a Christ-centered education that leads to their confidence, growing their brain to solve problems in a creative way and building relationships and community in a safe place.
