40 Hours Devotion

This year’s guest is Deacon Michael Pascarella Jr., who will speak on the topic, “Experiencing Christ’s Presence and Sharing that with the World.” Over three evenings, we will examine the tremendous gift of Jesus giving himself to us in the Eucharist, and will focus on three Gospels: 1) The Bread of Life Discourse; 2) Jesus Feeding the Multitudes; and 3) the Encounter with Jesus on the Road to Emmaus.
Please join us for Evening Prayer (from the Liturgy of the Hours), Sunday through Tuesday, October 4th, 5th, and 6th, at 7:00 PM. (Note changed dates this year.) Tuesday evening will conclude with a candlelight procession and hospitality in the hall. All parish organizations are invited to attend. Please come and welcome Deacon Pascarella to ABVM.

Our parish’s annual celebration of 40 Hours is almost upon us. The dates of 40 Hours have changed, now being Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, October 4, 5, and 6. We will have a speaker all 3 nights, with refreshments afterward in the Church Hall (to bring a dessert, please call Debbie Bean at 267-619-4573) on the last night. We will have sign-up sheets in the Narthex for parishioners to sign-up for one of the 40 slots available. We will also have copies of a new Archdiocese publication available to read: Discover Catholic Philadelphia. Please come and join us during this special and sacred celebration!!
