You God shield us on all sides.
You ground our feet. You lift our heads high.

Weeping may last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning.

This past year of 2023 has been an eventful one for the FFLC. We began a residency project, bringing on 2 new residents, Dorothy Funkhouser and Melissa Reed. These residents serve underinsured and uninsured clients while they work toward their NC state licensures. To fund this project we reached out to many friends. The most recent who have benefitted our project and the clients we serve are the Frances and Warren Way Family Fund, Elizabeth Kornegay Spears Pate Community Endowment, and The Allan and Vivian Bass Charitable Endowment For Mental Health, all of Cumberland Community Foundation, Inc. A huge thank you goes out to these special supporters of mental health care in our community.

Please consider giving to the Fayetteville Family Life Center this year as one of your ministries of choice. An easy way to do this is to support us through the Cumberland Community Foundation's Giving Tuesday Event. For details on how to give, pick up a "Guide to Giving" magazine, check out the CCF's website, or contact the office of the FFLC. God Bless, and as always, thank you for your prayer and support.

To all our friends - we are approaching 2024, and as we do, we are very mindful that this next year the Fayetteville Family Life Center will be turning 50 years old. That is a long, long time for any small non-profit to minister to its community. Over the years, we have probably averaged around 5,000 hours of service to our neighbors (some years a little less, some years much more). That means over our lifespan we have given back 250,000 hours of ministry to you, our friends in need of pastoral counseling/care (we cannot even put a price tag on this amount of love). So many have given to this endeavor, pastoral therapists who have cared for folks, directors who have shepherded the cause, church friends who have supported us, board members who have loved beyond measure, and so many others who have given of their mission dollar to improve the physical, emotional and spiritual lives of so many of our city and beyond. We do not boast about any of this but to say a huge thank you to our God for His care and favor over the years. Without Him we could do nothing, and likewise without you - where would be? So, thank you so much, and God bless.
