On Sunday, which was Trinity Sunday, we celebrated the triune God with Rev David Julian bringing our message “Faith and the Moon.” We were reminded that during the Apollo 8 mission in 1968, as the astronauts were circling the moon on Christmas Eve, they read the first 10 verses of Genesis 1 to all that were listening. What a powerful reminder of the faith of our nation.
Assisting Rev Julian were Keith Byrd as worship leader and Yumi Hannah was our pianist.

On Sunday, in addition to Pentecost Sunday, we celebrated the high school graduation of Ava Reyes and the college graduation of her Dad, Felix Reyes, Jr. They processed into the sanctuary led by Rev Brasher. Later in the service, Rev Brasher read a special scripture and charged the graduates to always seek Christ and the congregation affirmed their commitment to pray for them. Ava and Felix were presented with Bibles. We were honored to have the Reyes extended family worship with us. The family also prepared a special meal for us to all share as a part of the family of God. Thanks Be To God for blessing us with these special graduates!

On Sunday, May 24, we were busy at Peace! Not only was it Pentecost Sunday, but we also recognized our graduates. Rev Cynthia Brasher reminded us of the passage in Acts 2 of forming the church and the wind rushing in and filling them with the Holy Spirit! What a day to celebrate with communion to remember our own baptism.
We also recognized our graduates, Ava Reyes and her Dad, Felix Reyes along with 3 others that were with us in spirit. Assisting Rev Brasher was Bill Chater as Worship Leader and Dedra Culbreth as pianist. Thanks Be To God for his gift of the Holy Spirit!
