Nancy Long played a vital role in the development and growth of fine arts and academics within GICAA and GAPPS. During her time at Nathanael Greene Academy, Nancy worked closely with GICAA leadership to help establish these important programs.

Whether she was creating new programs, developing quizzes, or generously volunteering her time, Nancy consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for students. Her dedication, hard work, and willingness to serve were instrumental in building the strong fine arts and academic programs GAPPS offers today.

Nancy Long’s lasting impact on countless students and schools makes her a deserving recipient of the GAPPS Legacy Award.

🎣 The GAPPS Bass Fishing Trail is officially underway!

Our Varsity & Middle School Bass Fishing Trail kicked off this past Saturday, September 5, with a beautiful day on Lake Oliver in Columbus and 14 anglers hitting the water.

Next stop is Lake Eufaula in Alabama on October 3.

For more than 40 years, Bob Peck faithfully served students through Christian education and athletics. He spent much of his career at John Hancock Academy, where he served as Athletic Director and dedicated countless hours to coaching and mentoring young people.

Throughout his career, Bob coached numerous sports, always placing the development of his students ahead of wins and losses. He believed athletics should be competitive, but he also never lost sight of the importance of having fun, building relationships, and using sports to positively impact young people.

Within GAPPS, Bob became a pillar of consistent and strong Christian leadership. His character, commitment, and genuine care for students, coaches, and schools reflected the values that Christian athletics should represent. After four decades of service, Bob Peck leaves a lasting legacy that reaches far beyond John Hancock Academy. His influence can be seen throughout GAPPS and across Christian athletics in Georgia through the countless students, coaches, and families whose lives he impacted.
