“The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord.” Proverbs 16:33 KJV
Elections are on the horizon. For some, along with that comes anxiety. No matter your affiliation, you can almost feel the level of anxiousness rising. Then there are senseless acts of violence, negative ads, and commentators. This year, the fear is here earlier than ever. So, I thought I would remind us of words we can meditate on and share when dealing with friends and family who are affected by the trauma and hyperbole.
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Romans 8:38-39 KJV
Above is God’s promise to His children: no matter what happens on this earth, or who our leader is now or in the future, we are ultimately taken care of in the Lord.
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” - 1 Timothy 2:1-2 KJV
Let’s help people abstain from falling into the trap Satan has laid before them. Guide them to pray for our leaders, no matter who it may be. Have them ask Him to provide wisdom for those in charge. Let’s encourage acceptance, patriotism, and unity.
