West Virginia used to be front porches, winding mountain roads, coal trains echoing through the hollers, and neighbors who waved even if they didn’t know your name. 🌄😭

Now every time somebody from out of state discovers “Almost Heaven” on TikTok, another patch of woods mysteriously turns into: “Luxury Mountain View Estates” starting at $489,000 plus HOA fees higher than your electric bill. 💀

Locals say: the deer are confused, the black bears are considering relocation, and one old man in a Bass Pro hat reportedly stared at a new subdivision for 12 straight minutes before whispering: “Used to be a good fishing spot right there.” 🎣

Meanwhile the newcomers keep asking questions like: “Where’s the nearest Whole Foods?” Sir… this town barely has a whole road. 😭

Only in West Virginia will you find: a Dollar General every 4 miles, someone driving a side-by-side to buy milk, and a grandma who still measures distance by “how many mountains away it is.”

At this point the Appalachian mountains are probably watching the bulldozers like: “Brother I survived millions of years just for Chad to build townhouses on me?” ⛰️💀

Recently a thunder/lightning storm took out our internet at the Church. The Modem was damaged and the company replaced it, but it turned out to be faulty. For these reasons our Church Worship Service will NOT be available on Sunday, May 17th. We should be back, good as new, the following Sunday, May 24th. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Today, I went to the Church and I was able to establish a tenuous connection with the Parsonage wifi. So, tomorrow I will attempt to broadcast the Worship Service at the usual time. However, because the connection is weak, it may drop from time to time. So, be patient. We are doing our best.
