This lady wrote a beautiful poem for Christmas.

The Shepherd King
A brighter star lit up the sky than we had ever seen,
A sign from heaven, surely, but whatever could it mean?
Nothing to do with us, we thought, we shepherds on the hill,
Then on our faces fell, amazed, as it grew brighter still.

The sheep grazed on oblivious as we looked on in fear,
A glowing figure in the sky came swooping ever near.
What had we done, we mortal men, to bring an angel nigh?
Hands over faces, yet we peeked, as we prepared to die.

“Fear not,” he said, his voice a chime, “for good news do I bring.
In David’s town is born this day a Saviour, Christ the King.”
Why unto us, we wondered, ’tis a hillside, not a court.
Yet David was a shepherd once, so we were of his sort.

“And for a sign you’ll find the babe wrapped up in swaddling clothes,
Not in a house or fancy inn, for He’s not one of those.
But in a humble stable, in a manger lays His head,
And with the beasts and all things least.” ‘Tis what the angel said.

We left the sheep oblivious as we went down the hill.
We searched the town and found the babe, I think about it still.
That God’s own Christ should come, a child, a human such as we,
How could we not respond in love, to know such love could be?

Here’s a beautiful poem.

Letter From Jesus

Dear Friend:

How are you? I just had to send a note to tell you how much I love you and care about you. I saw you yesterday as you were talking with your friends. I waited all day hoping you would want to talk with Me also. As evening drew near, I gave you a sunset to close your day and a cool breeze to rest you - and I waited. You never came. Oh yes, it hurt me - but I still love you because I am your friend. I saw you fall asleep last night and longed to touch your brow, so I spilled moonlight upon your face and pillow. Again, I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you! You awakened late and rushed off to work without ever thinking of Me, and I still love you. My tears were in the rain.

Today you looked so sad - so all alone. It makes My heart ache because I understand. My friends let Me down too and hurt Me many times, but I love you. Oh, if you would only listen to Me! I LOVE YOU! I try to tell you in the blue sky and in the quiet green grass. I whisper it in the leaves on the trees and breathe it in the colors of flowers. I shout it to you in the mountain streams and give the birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air with nature scents. My love for you is deeper than the ocean and bigger than the biggest want or need that you will ever have. Oh, if you only knew how much I want to walk and talk with you. We could spend an eternity together in heaven. I know how hard it is on this earth. I really know! And I want to help you. I want you to know my father. He wants to help you too. My father is the way, you know. Just call Me - ask Me - talk with Me! Oh, please don't forget Me. I have so much to share with you! All right, I won't bother you any further. You are free to choose or reject Me. It is your decision. I have chosen you and because of this, I will wait - because I LOVE YOU!

Your Friend,

Jesus

The Armor of God

Put on the armor of Almighty God,
so you can withstand Satan’s schemes.
Our battle is not against flesh and blood;
no, things are not as they seem.

Our fight is against the powers of darkness,
with the forces of evil on high.
But He gave us His armor so we can stand firm,
on the Earth and in the sky.

Gird your loins with truth, which will always bear out,
the breastplate of righteousness wear.
Shod your feet with preparation of the gospel of peace;
take the shield of faith everywhere.

Take the helmet of salvation to wear on your head,
and the Spirit’s sword in your hand.
And pray in the Spirit all of the time so
against Satan’s plots you can stand.

Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he. – Proverbs 29:18

Yesterday our nation witnessed an unimaginable tragedy. Hundreds of lives where forever changed and many innocent lives were lost. Those who were not lost but survived have been traumatized and scared. Parents lost children. Children lost parents. Friends both young and old lost playmates, colleagues, and acquaintances. Maybe we all lost a little piece of our hearts. One thing is for certain, we all lost something. You may be asking the same questions I ask; Why? What would cause a person to take the life of another? Why so many innocent lives? The Bible makes it clear that when vision is lacking people run wild. Vision can also be interpreted as guidance, direction and leadership. These things are truly lacking in our society today. From political leadership to the role models we create in our pop culture to the homes that govern our families, the vision has been lost. Our media glamorizes violence, murder, s*x, r**e, malice, vengeance, and every kind of sin. We cast our approval for this in the dollars we spend. We vote with every purchase. We allow our children to be destroyed inside out because we do nothing to protect them. We allow them to feed there minds with TV shows, movies, video games, the internet, music, even cartoons that depict every kind of sin and perversion. What should we expect them to become? Garbage in, garbage out! There is no direction. There is no guidance. There is no leadership and we have cast off restraint. We have what we want, when we want it, and we don’t care how we get it. We blame the media. We blame the government. We blame the gun makers. We blame society. Maybe these all share some of the blame, but the real problem is us. As parents, we have the responsibility to protect our children, even from themselves. As mentors, as role models, we have the responsibility to protect those who are weak and influenceable. We have to take responsibility and stand against the evil in this world and it starts with you and me in our own back yards.

We need God! We need revival in our hearts. We need to follow Him as our leader and catch the vision. We need our hearts changed and our eyes opened. God save us from ourselves. We trust in you and you alone. Amen.
