Have you ever noticed how easy it is to replay the worst moments of your life?

A failure. A regret. A mistake you wish you could take back.

Sometimes the loudest voice we hear is the one reminding us of everything that's wrong with us.

But what if God has something different to say?

This Sunday we'll be in Romans 8, one of the most hope-filled chapters in the entire Bible, discovering what God says about His children and why His grace is greater than our guilt.

This Sunday is also Promotion Sunday! If you're moving into a new stage of life, come at 9:00 AM and connect with your new Life Group. We'll have donuts, hot coffee, and iced coffee available before groups begin.

Life Groups are one of the best places to find community, build friendships, and grow in your faith. They give us the opportunity to encourage one another, learn from God's Word together, and help each other take the next step in following Jesus.

As our church continues to grow, some groups and leaders will look different than they have in the past. That's okay. Healthy churches grow, adapt, and make room for new people. The goal has never been to find the perfect group—it's to help people find community and become disciples.

This Sunday, don't just come for yourself. Come to encourage someone else. Sit beside a new person. Welcome someone who's visiting a group for the first time. Help us create the kind of environment where people can truly Find Their People and Find Their Purpose.

Sunday attendance is a Saturday night decision. Decide now that you'll be in your Life Group this weekend, and you'll be glad you did. We'll save you a donut. 🍩

What is the Gospel?

For many people, the Gospel is simply about going to heaven when you die. While eternal life is certainly part of the Good News, Romans reminds us that the Gospel is much bigger than that.

The Gospel is the announcement that Jesus Christ is King.

Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus defeated sin, Satan, and death. Because He lives, salvation is available to everyone who believes. Salvation is not just forgiveness of sins. It is deliverance, rescue, freedom, and a new life under the rule and reign of King Jesus.

The Gospel doesn't just prepare us for heaven someday. It transforms how we live today.

Paul reminds us that "the righteous will live by faith." Faith is more than believing the right things. It is trusting Jesus in a way that changes the way we live, work, serve, love, and influence the world around us.

As followers of Jesus, we are not called to simply sit and wait for heaven. We are called to live on mission right where God has placed us. When God changes you, He changes you so you can make a difference.

The King has come. The victory has been won. The invitation is not merely to pray a prayer, but to surrender your life to King Jesus and live as a citizen of His Kingdom today.

What if the Gospel is bigger than you've been told?

Many people think the Gospel is simply about going to heaven when you die. But what if the good news of Jesus is not just about your future destination, but about how God wants to transform your life today?

This Sunday, we'll open the book of Romans and discover why Paul said he was "not ashamed of the Gospel" and what it means for us to live as citizens of God's Kingdom right here and right now.

Join us this Sunday at West End.

Life Groups are one of the best ways to get connected at West End.

Every Sunday at 9:00 AM, our groups gather to talk through the previous week’s sermon, ask questions, and make real-life application from God’s Word. It’s a relaxed environment where conversations happen, relationships grow, and friendships are built.

We currently have groups for:
• Men
• Ladies
• College & Career
• High School
• Middle School

We’re also excited to launch a new Young Married Group beginning Sunday, June 7!

And for families, we have a nursery and classes for kids during that same hour as well.

If you’ve been looking for a place to connect, grow, and find your people, this is a great next step for you.

There’s something happening at West End that’s hard to explain unless you experience it for yourself.

We’re not trying to build a crowd or create a perfect image. We’re simply trying to build a church family where people can KNOW GOD, FIND COMMUNITY, MAKE DISCIPLES, and CHANGE THE WORLD.

In a world where so many people feel disconnected, exhausted, overlooked, or stuck trying to figure life out on their own, we believe the church should feel different.

It should feel like home.

A place where you can ask questions.
A place where people know your name.
A place where faith becomes real and not just something talked about once a week.
A place where people walk through life together instead of pretending to have it all together.

Our vision is simple:
To live in community as we follow Jesus and make disciples every day.

That’s why we say:
“Find Your People. Find Your Purpose.”

Because we believe every person matters deeply to God, and every person was created for something bigger than just going through the motions of life.

Some people connect through Life Groups on Sunday mornings where friendships grow and conversations go deeper.

Others connect through Discipleship Groups, smaller groups centered around God’s Word, prayer, accountability, and spiritual growth.

But more than programs or events, what we really want is for people to experience the hope, peace, and purpose that can only be found in Jesus.

And honestly, one of the most exciting things right now is seeing new people and families finding a place here.

If you’ve been searching for community, looking for hope, or simply wondering if there’s more to life and faith than what you’ve experienced before, maybe this is your invitation to come see for yourself.

There’s a place for you here.

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a reminder that sacrifice was made so that we could enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

We remember the fallen.
We honor their sacrifice.
We pray for their families.
And we live with gratitude.

Today we looked at one of the most powerful questions Jesus ever asked:

“Whose image is on the coin?”

What started as a trap about taxes became a much deeper conversation about worship and identity.

Jesus reminded us:
Caesar’s image was stamped on the coin…but God’s image is stamped on us.

And if we belong to God, then He deserves more than part of our lives. He deserves all of us.

We talked honestly about modern-day idols:
Success.
Money.
Politics.
Relationships.
Social media.
Approval.
Even our children’s success.

Anything we look to for identity, worth, or significance apart from God will eventually leave us empty.

The challenge from Jesus was clear:
Stop giving your heart to things that can never satisfy.
Give yourself fully back to the One whose image you bear.

There are no wasted lives in the economy of God.
You were made in His image.
Jesus came to restore what sin broke.
And when we have Jesus, we truly have everything we need.

“Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to God what belongs to God.” — Mark 12:17

Pre-Sermon Reading:
Mark 12:13-17

“What bears God’s image?”

Tomorrow at West End, we’re looking at the question:
“Whose image is this?”

What started as a debate about taxes became a conversation about identity, worship, and allegiance.

Because the truth is:
Whatever has your heart ultimately has your worship.

Our world is full of things fighting for our attention:
Success.
Money.
Politics.
Relationships.
Social media.
Approval.
Achievement.

But Jesus reminds us that if we belong to God, then our lives belong to God.

This message is going to challenge all of us to ask:
Where has my identity drifted?
What am I really living for?
And who truly has my allegiance?

If you’ve ever struggled with finding your worth in the wrong places…
If you’ve ever felt empty even after getting what you wanted…
If you’ve ever felt spiritually distracted or divided…

This message is for you.
