God’s Word
Monday 6-8-26
~The Sixth Trumpet~
“Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them.”
‭‭(Revelation‬ ‭9‬:‭13‬-‭16‬ ).
This is the second “woe” John has warned us about (v12). In this judgment the voice from the golden altar which is before God gives instructions to release the four angels bound at the river Euphrates. These are wicked angels as those spoken of in Jude 6. They are released at the appointed time for God’s plan. This judgement seen coming from the altar which is before God is also seen as God’s answer to the prayers of the ones who were redeemed and martyred in the Tribulation.
And we hear the number of people slain will be one third of humans on earth by a two million man army.
One can’t even imagine the carnage left from such massive judgement of God.
God is gracious, kind, loving, merciful, and just. And He demonstrated and proved that in Christ on Calvary’s cross (Rom.5:8). One must choose Jesus. And all who reject Him will face God and His wrath.
SAVED! It’s still in the Bible. Saved by the blood of the Lamb. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Friday 6-5-26
~Our God is
the Mighty God~
“One woe is past. Behold, still two more woes are coming after these things.”
‭‭(Revelation‬ ‭9‬:‭12‬ ‭).
Here it’s as John hits the pause button for a moment. Five months of torment from the demons will be passed at that time of verse 12. So the reader is informed of the escalating wrath to follow.
Going back to the Lord’s description of the days coming in Revelation of the Tribulation period, we find it just as He said: “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened…Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”
‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭21‬, 22, 29‬ ).
Today we can confidently and thankfully take away from God’s word that our God is in control. All that will happen in these events are allowed and directed by God. He gave the key to Satan to open the bottomless pit. He gave instructions and power to the demons on exactly what they could and could not do. They will be His tools in His hand to do His will. Just as Satan was limited by God in his attack on Job, so will these demons be.
The God haters on earth in chapter 9 will find a moment between the 5th and 6th trumpets. Will they turn to the Lord in repentance? Not according to verse 21.
But today, there is God’s amazing grace in Christ our Lord.
Father, we thank You for loving us and sending Your Son to save us. In His name we pray, Amen.

Thursday 6-4-26
~Straight out of Hell~
“The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle. They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months. And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.”
‭‭( Revelation‬ ‭9‬:‭7‬-‭11‬ ‭).
The apostle John gives a vivid description of these hordes of demons released from the pit of the abyss whose torment and torture will be hellish, and hopeless to escape. David Jeremiah writes, If this seems unfair or unjust for a loving God to allow, remember that, in the words of the hymn by F***y Crosby, “The vilest offender who truly believes / That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.” Those who seek His mercy find it. Those who reject it and reject Him—those who have delighted in their wickedness, those who have flaunted their sin, those who have tormented and victimized others without shame or remorse—well, they’ve been warned. And they have made their choice. Those who are in the Lord’s will have His name on their foreheads and will be protected from the demonic attack (22:4). They will continue to experience His peace, His provision, and His protection. He will be their refuge, their shelter in the time of the storm (Psalm 61:4).
Thank You Lord that have saved us and sealed us as Yours. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

Wednesday 6-3-26
~When Death
will not Come~
“Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.”
‭‭( Revelation‬ ‭9‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭).
As we move into chapter 9 things on planet earth are about to escalate to an indescribable level. The Christ rejecting and rebellious humanity will get a little taste of Satan (a star fallen from heaven) and hell on earth. Satan is given the key, and we can thank God that he does not have the key until that time, for Christ has the key (1:18). And with the key he opens the bottomless pit, the pit of the abyss, which is mentioned seven times in Revelation. This is the place where some of the demonic hordes are imprisoned. And this is the place of the severest torment and isolation (vv.1,2.11:7;17:8;20:1,3).
The demonic creatures are hellish and horrible and they will be given power to inflict agonizing and awful pain which will last for 5 months, to which there is no ease or escape. These demons will torture all on earth except the 144,000 sealed of God and their converts. Men will seek death by su***de, but death will not come!
We must remember when this happens the church will have been raptured up into God’s presence.
But today, we’re still on planet earth to share God’s glorious gospel.
We’ll pick up here tomorrow, Lord willing.
Thank You Lord Jesus for saving all who will turn to You, in Your merciful and gracious name we pray, Amen.

Tuesday 6-2-26
~Terror, Terror, Terror~
“Then the fourth angel blew his trumpet, and one-third of the sun was struck, and one-third of the moon, and one-third of the stars, and they became dark. And one-third of the day was dark, and also one-third of the night. Then I looked, and I heard a single eagle crying loudly as it flew through the air, “Terror, terror, terror to all who belong to this world because of what will happen when the last three angels blow their trumpets.””
‭‭( Revelation‬ ‭8‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭).
Now we are moving from the earth to the sky above, the celestial bodies: the moon, sun, and stars.
J. B. Smith wrote: It is of considerable interest to note the progress—one third of the green trees and grass, one third of marine life and shipping, one third of the waters, and one third of the heavenly bodies. Food is destroyed; distribution is crippled; water supply is limited; production is hampered.
John MacArthur wrote: God will supernaturally reduce the intensity of the celestial bodies by one third. The loss of solar heat will cause a radical drop in temperatures, producing severe changes in meteorological, botanical, biological cycles (Lk.21:25; cf. Ex.10:21-23). But this is temporary according to 16:8,9 where God haters on earth will be scorched by the sun.
The message (v.13) of warning of the flying angel tells us that as bad as the first four trumpets are, they will be nothing compared to the following three.
Jesus is calling today. He stands ready to save. Let’s join Him in His work today!

Monday 6-1-26
~The Star
Named Wormwood~
“Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.”
‭‭(Revelation‬ ‭8‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭).
In the second Trumpet Judgment a third of the oceans were polluted along with a third of the shipping which will cripple the supply chain of that coming day. Here with the third judgment a third of the fresh waters rivers and spring waters will be polluted by the blazing star or comet that will come in leaving a fiery trail like a blazing torch, it will disintegrate as it nears earth, scattering its poison across the earth. This will kill many people. We can only imagine the panic, chaos, and the brutality of the people scrambling for the basics of life. They wanted life without God, they’ll have it. And no mention of repentance still.
When Christ was on the cross He took our sin and its bitterness upon Himself that we might experience His sweetness, His salvation. But here we see Christ releasing the bitterness of His judgment upon the Christ rejectors on earth at that coming time.
The Biblical truth is that Jesus offers eternal life to all who will turn to Him. For without Him there is no hope!
Father, thank You for Your love and grace in Christ Jesus our Lord. Help us to love others as You love. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
