Good morning, Judson family!

Due to yesterday’s severe weather, our church is still without power this morning. Unfortunately, our morning service at Judson Baptist Church is canceled for today, Sunday, September 6.

We’re thankful for everyone’s understanding, and we pray that you and your families are safe following the storms. Please continue to keep our community, utility workers, first responders, and anyone affected by the severe weather in your prayers.

What does it really mean to be a peacemaker?

Jesus said:

“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

Tonight in our weekly Bible Study, we’ll continue through the Beatitudes with “Being Peacemakers.”

Those who experience God’s peace are called to become God’s peacemakers. But what does that actually look like in everyday life?

We’ll dig into questions like:

• Is living right optional for a Christian? What about sharing our faith?
• Why do so many professing Christians hesitate to tell others about Christ?
• How can Jesus be the Prince of Peace, while also saying He came not to bring peace, but a sword?
• What’s the difference between being a peacemaker and simply trying to keep everyone happy?
• And according to Matthew 5:9, is being a peacemaker merely suggested…or is it required of those who belong to Christ?

“Those who experience God’s peace ‘become’ God’s peacemakers.”
