I've completed Subterfuge, and now I'm working on Novel #50--Prodigal. The plot isn't like the Biblical story of the prodigal son. Dusty runs away from home, but not with an inheritance. I'm up to Chapter 17 so far. In the end, Dusty's parents will be the prodigals returning to the son. (How about that for a different twist?)

I've been working on trying to complete Subterfuge, which I started last Sept. I'm up to Ch. 20. Hope to finish it soon. My next novel, #50, is titled Prodigal. It's about a 15 year old runaway boy from Prodigal, CA who ends up in Nashville, TN. With help from a wealthy Good Samaritan, Dusty Rivers is financially backed and goes to college to pursue his chosen profession. He graduates from college as a prosecuting attorney, with a love of country/western music. But the prodigal son doesn't return home because he wants to--his father is in trouble and needs an attorney.

I started writing Waves of Trust on 4/2/26 and completed it on 6/21/26. It's 23 chapters long with Epilogue.

Now I'm continuing to work on Subterfuge. I started it back in Sept., 2025 but stopped to write Waves of Trust. I was only up to Ch. 11 on Subterfuge. As of today, I'm working on Ch. 14.

I've been writing a new novel--Waves of Trust--after going on my first cruise back in Feb. I'm up to Chapter 22. Getting close to the end. Yay.

Then in May, Jim and I went on a bus trip to Nashville sponsored by our church. I knew there'd be a story there. Can't wait to write it--Prodigal. It will be part of a series which centers around a fictional town in southern California--Prodigal. Hence, the name of the story is Prodigal.

I still have to finish Subterfuge, which I started back in Sept. Busy, busy, busy.

My writers' group will critique Chapter 14 of Evidence Unseen tonight. The editing has made a lot of improvements in the story line. It's a big job ripping the story apart. It was the second novel I ever wrote--20 years ago. I've learned a lot since then.
