What an incredible day as our teams continued serving in Immokalee and LaBelle!

Immokalee Team
The day began in the garden, where we harvested an amazing variety of fresh produce including greens, okra, beans, cactus, Barbados cherries, New Zealand spinach, and more. The team also sorted clothing and shoes, unloaded cargo, and helped prepare supplies for Friday's community giveaway. Even as temperatures soared, spirits remained high and hearts stayed focused on serving others.

LaBelle Team
The LaBelle team put the finishing touches on a painting project and planted avocado trees that will benefit the community for years to come. We also learned a sobering reality about the lives of migrant farm workers—that a farmer must harvest approximately 4,000 pounds of produce in a single day just to earn minimum wage. It was a powerful reminder of the hard work behind the food we enjoy every day.

We are grateful for every conversation, every lesson learned, and every opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Thank you for your prayers as our team continues to serve and share God's love throughout Southwest Florida!

What a wonderful day of ministry and service for First Baptist Church!

Today, our members divided into two teams and served in different locations, each making a meaningful impact in the community.

At Mission Peniel, one team rolled up their sleeves and worked hard in the garden—pulling weeds, spreading mulch, moving pallets and hoses, and helping beautify the grounds. They also spent time bagging pinto beans in preparation for Friday's food giveaway, helping ensure families in need will be cared for.

Meanwhile, another team served at Primera Iglesia Bautista Church. Volunteers painted the pavilion, helping improve the church's facilities, while others hosted a fun and engaging Vacation Bible School for neighborhood children. The team also sorted and organized clothing donations to better serve those who come seeking assistance.

Both sites were so grateful for every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and servant's heart today. Whether planting, painting, teaching, organizing, or preparing food, each act of service reflected Christ's love in a tangible way.

Together, we are making a difference—one act of kindness, one conversation, and one opportunity to serve at a time.

There is something beautiful about serving with your hands and your heart.

Today, members of First Baptist Church rolled up their sleeves and spent time working in the garden at Mission Peniel. From preparing soil to tending plants, every task was an opportunity to share God's love through service.

Gardens remind us that growth takes patience, care, and faith. As we worked alongside our brothers and sisters at Mission Peniel, we were reminded that ministry is much the same. Seeds are planted, relationships are nurtured, and God brings the harvest in His perfect timing.

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." — Galatians 6:9

Before we roll up our sleeves and begin mission work tomorrow, our team took some time this morning to experience the beauty of God's creation in the Florida Everglades!

We spotted plenty of alligators soaking up the sunshine, watched beautiful birds glide across the wetlands, and enjoyed the breathtaking scenery that makes this place so unique.

Today is about fellowship, adventure, and appreciation for the wonders God has made. Tomorrow, we shift our focus to serving others and sharing Christ's love through our mission work.

Prayers appreciated as our team begins this important work. We are excited to see what God has in store for the days ahead!

Today we lift up our First Baptist Church Mission Team as they begin their journey to Immokalee, Florida. Over the coming days, these dedicated servants will be the hands and feet of Christ, sharing God's love through acts of service, compassion, and ministry.

Mission trips are about far more than the work that gets accomplished. They are opportunities to build relationships, strengthen faith, and remind others that they are seen, valued, and loved by God. As our team travels, we ask our church family and friends to join us in praying for safe travels, good health, meaningful connections, and hearts that are open to the movement of the Holy Spirit.

May God bless this team as they serve, learn, and grow together. We look forward to hearing the stories of lives touched, friendships formed, and the many ways God will work through this mission experience.

Please keep our mission team in your prayers this week as they serve in Immokalee. Go and be the light! ✝️❤️🙏
