THE BOOK OF DISCIPLINE: THE INTERWORKING OF THE LOCAL CHURCH

This course moves beyond a high-level overview and explores how the doctrine, polity, leadership, ministries, stewardship, and organizational structure of The A.M.E. Zion Church are designed to work together to fulfill the Great Commission and build healthy, effective local churches.

From the General Rules and Articles of Religion to local church ministries, leadership development, stewardship, finances, vision casting, relevant ministry, church revitalization, and more—we’re taking a deep dive into how the local church works!

There’s something powerful about a Thursday night. 🙌🏾

On a Thursday night in June, during the 2026 Eastern North Carolina Episcopal District Leadership Training Institute, Rev. Dr. Jennifer Carner stood and spoke a word that still carries life on this Thursday night:

“You can still produce.”

Loss didn’t cancel your purpose.
Rejection didn’t erase your calling.
Setbacks didn’t stop your future.
Heartbreak didn’t have the final word.

You are still here because you survived your hardest season. You are not an accident. Your life has purpose, your story is still being written, and THERE IS MORE! 🔥

So maybe the same word God released that Thursday night is the word somebody needs this Thursday night:

Start believing what God says about you. You can still produce!

If you survived it, don’t stop now. There is more. 🙌🏾🔥
