Instead of demolishing their Art Deco, Depression Era high school, the community of Ogden, Utah, decided to restore it.

Hello Fayette America; Historic Restorations is launching Operation Summer Maintenance; we have such cute neighborhoods in Fayette, but there's always that one house, with shrubbery higher than the house, grass knee deep to a giraffe, and it makes the whole neighborhood look bad! If you have that house in your neighborhood, please let us know; whether bad health, or financial restrictions, or being an heir property, has created the issue, we will contact the owner and offer to get them some lawn service or maintenance; we will ask for reimbursement, but for those in financial binds, we will cover the cost. We want to help keep our neighborhoods looking good; you may message us here, or PM us, with names or addresses of overgrown homes.

Also, we are a non-profit, if you would like to make a tax deductible donation to assist our group with these costs, please let us know. You may request verification of how your funds were spent at any time.

And finally, as I drive through our neighborhoods, I see dozens and dozens of abandoned homes; if you or your family have an abandoned home, you can't afford to repair, or just don't have the time to fool with it, you may donate property and/or homes to our group. Consult your own accountant, but in most cases, you can deduct your donation over a period of about 5 years, and up to approx. 30% of your annual taxable income per year. We will either rehab, or sell the property to someone with guaranteed plans and funds to rehab immediately, to generate funds to cover the costs of more programs likes these.
