Summer has a way of slowing things down with vacations, heat, busy schedules, and a break from normal routines. But the call of Christ doesn’t take a summer break.

“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” (1 Corinthians 4:2)

These “dog days” are not a time to drift, but a time to stay steady. When life feels less structured, that’s when spiritual habits matter even more. Pray when it’s inconvenient, worship when you’re tired, gather with God’s people even when it’s easier to stay home.

Faithfulness isn’t measured in seasons of ease, but in seasons of consistency.

Let’s be a church that doesn’t cool off when the weather heats up. Let’s stay faithful, stay present, and stay anchored in Christ all summer long.

And let’s make plans to be together tomorrow morning at 9:45 for Sunday School and 10:30 for our morning worship service. There’s no better place to start the Lord’s Day than with God’s people in God’s house.

Join us for:
Sunday School at 9:45 AM
Morning Worship at 10:30 AM

Tomorrow we will be finishing our study through the Gospel of Luke, and we would love for you to be part of this special service as we celebrate the risen Savior and how he can turn our fear into being a faithful witness.

Then come back tomorrow evening at 5:00 PM for our Memorial Day Fellowship! It will be a great time of food, fellowship, and gratitude as we spend time together as a church family.

Due to the potential for severe weather in our area, all services and activities for tonight have been canceled. We encourage everyone to stay safe and weather aware. We are praying for God’s protection over our community and look forward to worshiping together on Sunday. We hope to see everyone then!

As this Silent Saturday comes to a close, let’s take a moment to reach out one more time. A simple message, call, or invitation could make an eternal difference.

Tomorrow we celebrate the hope, victory, and new life of Resurrection Sunday. What a powerful moment to share with someone you care about.

And if you don’t have a home church, we would love for you to join us. There’s a place for you here. Sunday School begins at 9:45 AM, and worship starts at 10:30 AM.

Don’t miss the opportunity. Invite, encourage, and expect God to move.

Join us tomorrow as we explore Luke 19:1-27, where Jesus calls Zacchaeus from the tree, reveals His heart for the lost, and teaches the importance of faithful stewardship. Discover how the Savior seeks, saves, and transforms lives- and how He calls us to serve Him until His return.

All arrangements are at the Fayette First Free Will Baptist Church:

Thursday, Feb. 12-

Viewing from 6-8 pm.

Friday, Feb. 13-

The body will lie in state from 10-11 am.

Funeral at 11 am.

Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

We will feed the family at 1:30 pm on Friday in the fellowship hall. The church will provide the meat. If you can bring a side dish, drink, or dessert, or can help serve please be at the church by 12:30.
