Last Summer we applied for and was awarded a $2500 grant through the OH Dept of Commerce. The project we submitted was to purchase a cement mixer & restore/reset monuments. Only 45 cemeteries in OH were awarded, we were 1 of only 2 in Fulton Co.
Work began in March to reset 6 chosen family monuments. Of the 6, some had multiple stones involved.
Below are the before & afters.
This was a big undertaking with 1 tall monument involving Adrain Monuments to come help us
disassemble. 🙌
We are grateful to receive these grant funds. It is our 3rd time to be chosen. Exceptional Maintenance is a requirement and we compete with many larger cemeteries. The grant writing, criteria to meet, & vision before the real work starts is a process.

This grand ole show stopper deserves the spotlight!
Standing tall & spreading wide, bearing magnificent yellows & golds…now shedding a carpet of leaves. What sorrow this ole tree on the hill has witnessed. But her seasons of beauty can soothe us, bring us reflection on the lives buried here. It’s amazing what nature can symbolize 🌳🍁

“Beneath the maple tree so old
With many stories to be told
That sheds its leaves of crimson-gold
It’s stable roots of love unfold”

A successful Lantour Tour held last night at PVUC with 50+ attending.
Great night learning about the lives of 6 past citizens as we went thru a guided tour.
The cemetery is happy to host this annual event presented by the Bean Creek History Center & Normal Memorial Library…great event, 8th year & well received!
