“The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered Babylon the great, to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath.”

“All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God” (Romans 3:23 ESV)…we deserve that wrath as we follow Babylon the great…into untruth, into idolatry, into blasphemy, into greed, into faithlessness, into loss of control…

God keeps His promise to all who refuse to repent and follow Him. He ALSO keeps His promise that all who repent and believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior will be saved. His sacrifice: humiliation, unbearable pain, the pouring out of His blood, His gruesome death…all of the sins of Christians (those who FOLLOW Christ) are interceded for. His blood poured on the Altar of God…cleanses us of our sins.

He took from us the Wrath we rightly deserve that we might be saved.

SPECIAL EVENT: Grace and Truth Christian School is hosting a Chili Cookoff at FBC next Sunday Evening with the goal of purchasing books for the students. See the attached flyer for info about entering a chili or joining to eat chili! Those coming to eat are invited to donate to this cause in exchange for the delicious food and the opportunity to gather as a community. Your support is TRULY appreciated!

First Baptist Church will not be hosting Wednesday Night dinner or classes tonight due to heightened amounts of sickness. See you Sunday morning and then next week if the Lord allows!
