Please welcome our fourth speaker of Black History Month, pastor Ivan C. James III!

Pastor Ivan, a St. Louis native, is Pastor of New Horizon United Methodist Church the merger of Asbury and Samaritan United Methodist Churches in St. Louis. Missouri. Ivan has been a long-time member of the United Methodist Church and has served the local church and conference on many boards and committees throughout the connection.. He served as chairperson of the MO Annual Conference Trustee Board for a number of years and presently serves on the Board Ordain Ministry. He has served in a leadership role in the local church for 20+ years and has been a Certified Lay Minister since 2012.

At the 2015 United Methodist Church Missouri Annual Conference, he was bestowed “The Unity Award,” which celebrates the spirit and work of an individual in light of the values of the Conference with emphasis on inclusiveness, justice, and worth. Presently, Ivan is an active member of the Board of Trustees of Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO and has participated in a variety of programs with students at the University.

Our next speaker for Black History Month is Reverend Tracey Wolff!

Pastor Tracey is currently serving as the lead Pastor for Grace United Methodist Church in Springfield MO. She has pastored churches in Springfield and the St Louis area and served as a campus minister as well. Ordained as an Elder in 2021, pastor Tracey had previous careers as a Division I Women’s Basketball Coach, as a Missionary with a large parachurch organization, as well as working several years with a women’s residential facility that helped clients through life controlling issues. Come hear her speak tomorrow at 10:00am in the Assembly Hall!
