The Faith of a Child

Adults often think faith grows stronger when we become more knowledgeable.

Jesus taught something different.

He pointed to children as examples of trust, humility, and dependence on God.

Children remind us that faith is not about having all the answers. It’s about trusting the One who does.

As we watch children grow, laugh, learn, and ask questions, we are reminded that God invites all of us to come to Him with that same childlike trust.

“Truly I tell you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3, CSB)

To God be the glory for what HE has done in bringing people from all over our community together! Part of keeping the Sabbath is doing good in His name!

We will be planning to go on out to Better Days Farmville again in October! We encourage everyone to join us!

Big Gives just keep getting BETTER!
Yesterday, with the help of a record breaking number of volunteers, we helped 12 families have Better Days by providing furniture and housewares, including gifting beds to another 13 children across Southside Virginia.
Thank you to our faithful volunteers, new faces, and both Farmville Seventh Day Adventist Church and Passion Community Church (Farmville and Powhatan campuses) for choosing to spend a 🔥 Saturday morning !

🎒 Back to School Bash Update

We are overwhelmed by the incredible response to this year’s Community Backpack Drive!

Because we have reached our planned capacity, pre-registration is now closed. Thank you to everyone who registered—we’re looking forward to serving you on Sunday, July 19, from 2:00–4:00 PM at Farmville Seventh-day Adventist Church (2086 Cumberland Rd., Farmville).

If you were unable to pre-register, you are welcome to stop by on July 19. However, pre-registered families will be served first, and any remaining backpacks will be distributed to walk-ins while supplies and space allow. We cannot guarantee backpacks for those who are not pre-registered.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us make this outreach possible. We can’t wait to serve our community!

In a world where children are often overlooked, Jesus never overlooked them.

He noticed the child sitting quietly in the crowd. He welcomed the child others pushed aside. He took time for children when the disciples thought He had more important things to do.

Every child matters to Jesus.

That means every child in our community matters too.

Whether a child comes from a stable home or a difficult one, whether they are outgoing or shy, whether they know much about God or are just beginning to learn—Jesus sees them, loves them, and values them.

“See what great love the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children—and we are!” (1 John 3:1, CSB)
