LOW Sunday Service - 6/12/22
Title: The Peace of God
Scripture Reference: Philippians 4:4-9
Message Notes:
- God wants us to be in a place where we do not let circumstances get the best of us.
- When you have the peace of God those things that come against pale in comparison to God's peace.
- The peace of God transcends all understanding.
- We must continue to rejoice in God even when the trying comes our way (verse 4). Often times the trying we experience manifests the work of God, therefore we can rejoice.
- We have to get to a place where we let the anxiety we experience lead us to prayer (verse 6). If it's troubling you, then pray. Our conversation with God reminds us of what God has said in his word. Let God fight your battles.
- Go to God in prayer confidently. Tell him what you really want. You don't have to deal gingerly with God.
- The peace of God reassures our hearts and is ours when we truly get into a place where we are communing with God.
- God stands for us when he sees we're trusting in him. Do what God is commending you to do. God wants what is best for us. He doesn't seek to punish us.
- There is discipline in God's peace. The peace of God will cause you not to overreact or get out of frame. God is in control of it all.
- We need to discard all things that don't align with God's word and think on those things that are of God (verse 8).
- Whatever is lovely and pure and true these are what we think on. Center your mind on things that are praiseworthy.
- Practice the things of God in your life. We have to get to a place where there is an automatic response of faith when trials come. Despair should lead to prayer. Frustration should lead to prayer... and the peace of God will be with you (verse 9).

- Condemnation comes as an attempt to get us off track.
- Remember that the enemy is subject to God
- Who can bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.
- You make your decisions on what you hear from God.
- Knowing that nothing can ever separate you from his love.

Beautiful and heartfelt church service today. Simple reminders that our God responds to our faith, the best place to be is trusting the Almighty, and we will see what we've prayed for. Keep your heart and mind stay on Him.

Subject: Shout! For the Lord has Given You the Victory.
Text: Joshua 5:1-5, 13-15 & Joshua 6:1-21
Message Points:
- No weapon formed against you will will prosper. There is nothing that can deter God's will for your life.
Because God is on your side, you don't have to worry.
- There are things God instructs us to do that goes beyond our reasoning and understanding. Hold fast to God's word. Trust in Him.
- The only way you're going to be fit to lead is if you're fit to follow (Joshua 5:13-14). We must let God lead, meaning we must obey him. God responds to our obedience.
- When God says something it's going to happen (Joshua 6:2).
- Trust what God says even when it defies your reasoning. It may cause you to be exposed but God will keep you (Joshua 6:3-5).
- Proclaim your victory (shout)! (Joshua 6:15-16). God gives us the victory through faith in him.

Encouraging worship service today. A great reminder and encouragement to know that Jesus is the lily in the valley (Song of Soloman 2:1).

Don’t let what’s going on around you dictate how you relate to God. Be loyal to him in the good and bad times, and when something comes up to threaten your relationship with God fight to stay in his presence.
