A message from Pastor Einertson:

Dear friends in Christ,

In light of the incoming inclement weather, I wanted to send a brief message regarding Trinity's weather protocol.

Divine Service will take place tomorrow at the usual time, confident that where even two or three are gathered together in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, there he is in their midst.

Even so, I encourage everyone to use your best judgment as to whether you can make it to service safely. If you can, I look forward to seeing you there, and if you cannot, I encourage you to stay home, read tomorrow's lessons (Exodus 6:2–21, Galatians 4:21–31, John 6:1–15), and pray the Collect of the Day:

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, Your mercies are new every morning; and though we deserve only punishment, You receive us as Your children and provide for all our needs of body and soul. Grant that we may heartily acknowledge Your merciful goodness, give thanks for all Your benefits, and serve You in willing obedience; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

If you would like to receive a draft of tomorrow's sermon to read on your own, please feel free to let me know, and I will be happy to send it along. Also remember that there will be a service of Evening Prayer this Wednesday, so if you are unable to join us tomorrow morning, I invite you to join us for that service as you are able.

The Lord bless and preserve you all, and know that even if you cannot join us tomorrow morning, I will be praying for you.

Check out this month’s Lutheran Witness article on customs for Epiphany—you might even recognize one of the authors. Join us for the Epiphany Divine Service at St. John’s on Monday night, and make sure to put your name down on the sign-up sheet or reach out to Pastor Einertson directly if you’d like him to come by for a house blessing!

One of the most iconic foods we associate with Epiphany is King Cake, a pastry from the 12th century twisted in the symbolic shape of our Lord’s crown.

All women of Trinity are invited to attend a Lutheran womens’ retreat at Christ the King Retreat Center in Buffalo, MN, on August 16-17, 2024.
The keynote speaker will be the Rev. Tom Aadland from our circuit, and the topic is “Redeem the Time,” focusing on the solace God provides amidst our busy and stressful lives.

Join us for an evening Vacation Bible School July 22–25! This year our theme will be "Celebrate the Savior," and we'll learn how Jesus brings us joy. Each evening will begin with a dinner at 5:30pm, and VBS will last from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Now that we're just a few days out from the Ascension of Our Lord, make sure your calendar includes the Divine Service this Thursday at 7:00pm at St. John's Lutheran Church of Rich Valley, Rosemount, MN. We'll be joining our brethren at St. John's for a joint service to hear our Lord's Word and receive his gifts on the day when he ascended to the right hand of his Father.
