We will end the month with one last story from Jesus—the house built on a rock. Jesus uses this illustration to teach us that wisdom is always the best foundation for life. Bad weather can come and go but nothing will wash away what you have built a foundation of wisdom. But, foolishness, well, that’s like a foundation of sand. Whatever you’re building is not going to stand for long.
When we live the way Jesus taught us to live, we are building our lives on a foundation of wisdom, and it will stand strong

Jesus teaches us to help others. You would think this one would be something we could figure out on our own, but Jesus knew we would need to be taught this as well. Knowing His audience had a hard time accepting all people, He tells the story of the Good Samaritan. This man, whom people did not think would do the right thing, is the only one who stops to help an injured man. We can help everyone, even those who are different
than us. We hope you enjoy this lesson that is for our little ones ,3–6-year-old.

Jesus teaches us that we can share our stuff. Jesus could have just told us, “Hey, share your stuff.” But instead, He tells a story of a man with big barns filled with food, deciding to build bigger barns to store all of his leftovers. Jesus teaches us not to hoard things, but to share them.

In this week's lesson, Jesus will teach us that we are important to God, much like sheep are important to a shepherd.
What does a shepherd do to show that their sheep are important to them? They care for them, protect them, feed them, and even go looking for them when they are lost.

This week we introduce the letter S. S is for Shepherds! God sent angels to spread the good news to shepherds. After the angels reassured the men that there was no reason to be afraid and told them Jesus had been born, the shepherds wasted no time running to see God’s perfect gift! Then, they kept running so they could tell everyone in town the good news!

Our preschoolers will hear all about the BIG event. Jesus is born! Jesus, the Son of God, the gift to the world, the evidence of God’s love for us, is born! And, that’s Who we celebrate at Christmas

A is for angel. God sent an angel to tell Mary He would give us Jesus. We can only imagine how Mary felt at that moment when she found out that she was having God’s Son. WOW! But, that’s just the beginning of the Christmas story.

We will visit the story of Elisha and the wonderful couple who not only invited him to eat from their table but built a room for him on their home for when he was in town. They really understood hospitality! While we may not have someone who has made a room for us, we do have people who have helped us, and we can thank God for them. We hope you enjoy the lesson!

This week we see how the Israelites learned to truly depend on God and be thankful for every bite of food they ate. These people had to wait for food to drop from the sky – literally. We can thank God for our food, too

We will learn about the faithful friendship of Jonathan and David and how thankful they were for each other. Jonathan wasn’t just thankful with his words. He looked for a way to show David he was thankful by giving David special things that belonged to him. We can show our friends we are thankful for them, too.
