Happy Father's Day
Men, masculinity, and fathers are under attack in our day and age. A push back against a harsh patriarchy was needed. The pendulum seems to have swung to harsh and hateful attitude towards masculinity in general with many women saying we don't need men and men ashamed to be men.
Yet, God created men. Masculinity is not a disease to be cured and testosterone is not an evolutionary mistake to be medically eliminated. God created the characteristics of masculinity with all of its strengths. Masculinity is a gift from God. It is half of the marital and parental equation which God designed for the good of mankind. Though some have abused the strength and gift of masculinity, this does not make masculinity evil or shameful.
Men embrace your masculinity and with a testosterone fueled strength love and serve your families for the glory of God. Today, let us celebrate those God given, testosterone fueled, masculine men who have lovingly served as our fathers. We praise God for you.
