Anyone who is or has struggled with divorce and separation is invited to attend the fall session of the DivorceCare community in Farmington. Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you’ve never faced before. Unless you have been there
, it’s hard to understand the hurt, confusion, and multitude of other feelings that are associated with separation and divorce. We are excited to once again offer a resource for those struggling in our community. This is an opportunity to meet with others who have been there or are currently going through the same hurt. Our hope is to offer a safe, confidential environment in which to start the healing process while providing essential tools to help you become strong and healthy once again. DivorceCare is a network of over 13,000 churches worldwide equipped to offer a program that is nontraditional and Biblical based to help in the recovery of divorce or separation. The next group is scheduled to kick off in September with 13 unique studies. DivorceCare is graciously sponsored by the First Baptist Church in Farmington and is open to anyone in the community regardless of church affiliation. Facilitators for the group are Nancy Collier and Greg Currington. There is no cost to attend; however, we ask that you reimburse the $15 expense of the workbook (assistance is available).
