Heritage Sunday 3/22/26 in memory of Archbishop Theofan Stilian Noli the founder of our diocese, and also in memory of the first Divine Liturgy held in the Albanian language in Boston, MA. Fr Juxhin will hold this Sunday’s liturgy in Albanian.

☦️ Third Sunday of Great Lent and Veneration of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross.

Yesterday, our parish gathered in prayer and reverence on the Third Sunday of Great Lent, the Sunday of the Veneration of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross.
In the middle of the Lenten journey, the Holy Cross is brought forth for the faithful to venerate, strengthening us and reminding us that through the Cross comes joy and the light of the Resurrection.
Following the Divine Liturgy, we were also blessed to begin our first Sunday School class of the year.
It was a joyful and successful start, with our children gathering together to learn about the faith, the life of the Church, the Precious and Life-GivingCross, and the love of Christ.
We thank God and our coordinator and our teachers for this beautiful day in the life of our parish and for the families and children who are growing in the Orthodox faith.
May the Precious Cross continue to guide and strengthen us throughout the remainder of Great Lent.

“Before Thy Cross, we bow down in worship, O Master, and Thy Holy Resurrection we glorify.” ☦️

☦️ E Diela e Tretë e Kreshmës së Madhe dhe Nderimi i Kryqit të Çmuar dhe Jetëdhënës
Dje, kisha jonë u mblodh në lutje dhe përulësi në të Dielën e Tretë të Kreshmës së Madhe, të Dielën e Nderimit të Kryqit të Çmuar dhe Jetëdhënës.
Në mes të udhëtimit të Kreshmës, Kryqi i Shenjtë sillet në mes të kishës që besimtarët ta nderojnë, duke na forcuar dhe duke na kujtuar se përmes Kryqit vjen gëzimi dhe drita e Ngjalljes.

Pas Liturgjisë Hyjnore, patëm gjithashtu bekimin të fillonim klasën tonë të parë të Shkollës së së Dielës për këtë vit.
Ishte një fillim i gëzueshëm dhe i suksesshëm, ku fëmijët u mblodhën së bashku për të mësuar rreth besimit, jetës së Kishës, Kryqit të Çmuar dhe Jetëdhënës dhe dashurisë së Krishtit.
Falënderojmë Perëndinë, koordinatoren tonë dhe mësuesit tanë për këtë ditë të bukur në jetën e Kishes sonë, si edhe për familjet dhe fëmijët që po rriten në besimin Orthodhoks.
Urojmë që Kryqi i Çmuar të vazhdojë të na udhëheqë dhe të na forcojë gjatë pjesës së mbetur të Kreshmës së Madhe.
“Kryqit tënd po i falemi, o Kryezot, dhe Ngjalljen Tënde të Shenjtë lavdërojmë.” ☦️

Today, our holy community of St Thomas came together in prayer and love to participate in the First Saturday of Souls, a holy day in the Orthodox Church devoted to the remembrance of our departed loved ones and intercession for their souls.
With grurë (koliva) prepared as a sign of faith, hope, and love, we offered before the Lord the names of those who have fallen asleep before us, commending them to His boundless mercy. As we sang “Memory Eternal,” we were reminded that through Christ, death is not an end, but a transition into everlasting life.
May their memory be eternal, and may their souls dwell in a place of light, a place of green pasture, a place of refreshment, where there is no pain, sorrow, or suffering, but life everlasting.
