Build on our Spiritual Walls: Be the One, Bridge the Gaps, and Build together Spiritually in 2023-2024!
Greetings my brothers and sisters
I want to thank you for supporting Farmhaven Association General Assembly of Mississippi down through the years. I am grateful for the service of our past chairman. Pastor Johnny Ray Hopson has tirelessly sacrificed for the Association over twenty plus years. I am appreciative of each of the churches who are the lively stones who have shaped Farmhaven Campground into the spiritual house of God. 1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Let us continue to follow the example set before us and be the lively stones that build on our great foundation.
Our theme verses this year Nehemiah 2:20 “Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.” Hopefully we will respond to the challenges at hand by being the lively stones that God uses to rebuild our spiritual walls of unity that Jesus has already laid. Let us faithfully be the lively stones that bridge the gaps that divide us geographically, generationally, and by gender. Let us be the one lively stone that follows the example of Nehemiah’s love for the Lord and put forth the effort to make our campground a source of God’s strength and stability.
Nehemiah and his team faced significant opposition yet, were able to rebuild the city walls. They did five (5) things we must do 1) he purposed in his heart to rebuild, 2) he petitioned God for the resources, 3) he used what God provided, 4) he followed God’s plan, and 5) he participated in rebuilding the walls. As we move forward, prayerfully Farmhaven Association will continue to serve as the strength, shelter and solitude of God’s grace and mercy. Prayerfully we will face our challenges by confidently building up our spiritual relationships and be the one who bridge our gaps by building together spiritually until the work is done.
