Hear the Word of the Lord, O bride of Christ, for the hour is late and the lamps are flickering.
We are a people called out, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation. Yet, the aroma of our sanctuary has been traded for the stench of the marketplace. We are called to be the pillar and ground of truth.
The Lord rebukes the compromise that has entered His Holy Place. You cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. The bride of Christ (BODY OF CHRIST;THE CHURCH) is treading on thin ice. The level of her in*******se with the world is alarming, a serious call for concern. The Church is not parallel to the world. She must distinguish the two and understand that Christ is her standard and not the world! Christ is not a suggestion; He is the Head. When the Church seeks to be "relevant" by mimicking the world, she forfeits her power. The world does not need a Church that is "like" them; the world needs a Church that is like Him (CHRIST).
Colossians 1:18: "And he is the head of the body, the church... that in all things he might have the preeminence.
James 4:4: You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
1 John 2:15-16: Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.
Remember, we are in the world but not of the world. Do not jump on the circular bandwagon and trade Gods gifts and announting for cheap likes, acceptance, applause, fame, or a check.
He that has ear let him listen.
2 Corinthians 6:14, 17: Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? ... Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you.
Romans 12:2: Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Galatians 1:10: For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
John 12:43: For they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God.
Colossians 2:8: See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.
1 Peter 1:15-16: But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, 'You shall be holy, for I am holy.
Stop running after the shadows of this world. Return to the secret place. Wash your robes. Distinguish between the holy and the profane. Let the world be offended by the Cross, but let them be transformed by the Glory.
Hebrews 12:28-29: Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Revelation 2:7)
