Good morning!
Yesterday we discovered a simple truth:
The Holy Ghost knows what we do not.
Today, let us consider another question:
What can the Holy Ghost see that we cannot?

Day 1B — What Can The Holy Ghost See That We Cannot?
📖 Acts 16:6–9
“Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia…”
Acts 16 allows us to witness something remarkable.
The Holy Ghost forbids a direction that appears reasonable.
No explanation is given.
No reason is recorded.
The Holy Ghost simply intervenes.
At that moment, those traveling could only see what was in front of them.
But the Holy Ghost could see far beyond what was visible to human eyes.
A few verses later, Scripture gives us a glimpse behind the curtain.
Paul receives a vision of a man from Macedonia saying:
“Come over into Macedonia, and help us.”
What a beautiful revelation of the character of God.
Before anyone traveling with Paul knew there was a need, the Holy Ghost knew.
Before anyone heard the cry, the Holy Ghost heard.
Before anyone understood where God was leading, the Holy Ghost was already working.
The focus of this passage is not the servant.
The focus is the Holy Ghost.
Acts 16 reveals a God who is aware of people we have never met, needs we have never seen, and circumstances we have never considered.
While men see what is near, the Holy Ghost sees what is far.
While men see what is visible, the Holy Ghost sees what is hidden.
While men see the moment, the Holy Ghost sees the whole picture.
Perhaps that is one reason we can trust Him.
Not because we understand what He is doing.
But because He sees what we cannot see.
The cry from Macedonia had already come to the attention of Heaven.
The Holy Ghost was already aware.
The Holy Ghost was already working.
The Holy Ghost was already responding.
And through a yielded servant, God began to answer a need that others could not yet see.
That same Holy Ghost is still at work today.
He sees what you cannot see.
He knows what you do not know.
He is aware of needs, people, and circumstances beyond your present understanding.
And He remains worthy of your trust.
Reflection
What situation are you viewing only through what is presently visible?
How might your perspective change if you remembered that the Holy Ghost sees far beyond what you can presently see?
Prayer
Holy Ghost, thank You for seeing what I cannot see.
Thank You for being aware of needs, people, and circumstances beyond my understanding.
When I cannot see the whole picture, help me trust Your wisdom, Your leadership, and Your care.
Teach me to follow You with confidence, knowing that You are already at work in ways I cannot yet comprehend.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
