Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago that serves the faithful of Syro-Malabar church in the United States Knanaya Catholic Parish of Dallas comprising of Knanaya Catholics in Dallas Fort worth & northern part of Texas. is the present pastor. This mission was established i

n 1995 with Rev. Joseph Meledom as the mission director. Joseph Manappuarath was appointed mission director in 1998. James Cheruvil was appointed mission director in January 2007. They were serving the mission while staying in Houston. Jose Saurianmakil took charge of the mission with his residence in Dallas since July 5, 2009. The mission bought a church from Webb Chapel Baptist Church in Farmers’ Branch on June 7, 2010. The consecration of this church and the elevation of the mission as a parish with Rev. Joseph Sauriamakkel as its first pastor, was held on July 26, 2010 by His Excellency Bishop Mar Jacob Angadiath. His Grace Mar Mathew Moolakkatt, Archbishop of Kottayam was the main celebrant of the First Mass offered in this Church immediately after the consecration. His Excellency Mar Joseph Pandarasseril, the Auxiliary Bishop of Kottayam was concelebrant and gave homily during the Holy Mass. Originally a Mission, DFW Knanaya Catholic Mission, was elevated to a parish on July 26, 2010. Christ the King Knanaya Catholic Church, uniquely cherishing the rich heritage of both Syro Malabar church and Knanaya community, currently pastors about 170 families in the North Texas area with the esteemed spiritual leadership of Fr. Christ the King Knanaya Catholic Church welcomes all our faithful to join the church’s efforts in the spiritual nourishment, by actively participating in our church ministries.
