This Sunday we looked at Luke 7: 36-50 and the moment in Simon the Pharisee's house where a woman with many sins bows at Jesus' feet. Simon believed her to be unworthy to touch Jesus, but Jesus shows that just means she needs Him more. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and that just means we need him all the more.

This Sunday we looked at Luke 7 where John the Baptist sends his disciples to ask Jesus if He was the one who if they are still waiting for another. As we look at this moment of doubt in John's life we learn how we should respond in moments of doubt. Turn towards Jesus more.

This Sunday we looked at the beginning of Jesus' teaching in Luke 6. Here Jesus our Lord, turns the idea upside-down of what it means to be blessed. We are not blessed or cursed based on what is happening in this current moment but because we serve a good God and King. Circumstances will change but Christ being on His throne will never change.

This Sunday we looked at Luke chapter 6 where Jesus declare Himself as Lord of the Sabbath. It is God who get to decide the reason and the commands He puts forth. He has demonstrated time and time again that He is worth trusting so let us trust His commands. Let us seek Him out more and more everyday.

This Sunday we finished Luke 5 and how Jesus came to heal the sick and the lost. That includes us friends. Jesus came for each and every one of you and now Jesus calls us to do the same. To be changed by Him and pursue those who are sick in need of Him too.

This Sunday we looked at Luke 5: 1-11 when Jesus calls His first disciples to become fishers of men. We need to realize our need for Jesus by humbling ourselves and surrendering all to Him.

This Sunday we finished looking at Luke 4 and we looked at how Jesus is the ultimate authority. He has authority and is King over all things. However the choice belongs to us if we will submit to Him as our King.

This Sunday we looked at Luke 4: 14-30 at a moment where Jesus was teaching in His hometown. As he was reading from the scroll of Isaiah about the coming Messiah He declare that he is that Messiah. Let us put our trust in the one who fulfills the scriptures.
