Adventure awaits at Vacation Bible School 2026! πŸ›οΈβš‘

This summer, children ages 4 through rising 6th grade are invited to A Very Godly Vacation Bible School: Percy Jackson and the Curse of the Titans, happening July 13–17 at The Falls Church Episcopal.

For one exciting week, campers will enter Camp Half-Blood, be sorted into cabins, and embark on a heroic journey filled with singing, skits, crafts, science activities, music, games, and faith-filled exploration. Inspired by The Titan's Curse, we'll explore themes of courage, loyalty, belonging, community, and what it means to follow God together.

No Percy Jackson experience is required! Whether your child is a longtime fan or brand new to the story, they'll find a welcoming, creative, and joyful environment where curiosity is encouraged and every child belongs.

πŸ“… July 13–17, 2026
⏰ 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
πŸ‘§ Open to children ages 4 through rising 6th grade

✨ New this year: We're working to offer aftercare from 1:00–4:00 p.m. to help support working families.

Financial assistance is available because we want every child who wishes to attend to be able to participate.

πŸ’› You can also support this ministry by contributing to the VBS Scholarship Fund, helping make this life-changing week accessible to more families.

Come discover faith, friendship, adventure, and God's love in a whole new way!

As Pride month begins, save the date for a gathering commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1976 General Convention resolution declaring that LGBTQ+ people have a full and equal claim to the pastoral care and support of The Episcopal Church. The event, β€œFull and Equal: 50 Years in Pursuit of a Promise,” will celebrate progress and acknowledge the work that remains.

The three-day gathering, held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sept. 3-5, will include storytelling coaching, workshops, a banquet, and a Eucharist featuring Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe as presider and Bishop Gene Robinson as preacher. Spanish-language interpretation will be available.

More registration details will follow. Please save the date and help spread the word.

Call for Volunteers
Bailey's Shelter Dinner
Sunday, June 14, 2026

The Falls Church Episcopal prepares dinner on the second Sunday of each month for the people staying at the Bailey's Crossroads Community Shelter.

We need volunteers to:

* Make cupcakes at home and bring them to the church
* Cook the meat, beans, peppers and onions, and rice at church and assemble the burritos and put them into trays. Put the beans, onions and peppers, and rice into large trays to delivery.
* Deliver the trays and cupcakes to the shelter
* Serve the dinner at the shelter (only adults can serve)

Two things to know:
* You do not need to know how to cook--it's easy and we will show you what to do.
* Families are encouraged to volunteer--there are jobs that children can do.

For more information, please contact Dave Raglin at [email protected] or 703-835-1198.
