🐻✨ On Sunday, a beloved teddy had quite the adventure after being accidentally left behind at church! As the congregation filed out, he found himself in a pew alone, soaking in the sunshine through the stained glass window.

With the sanctuary to himself, he lost no time before exploring. His first stop was the piano. After a bit of scaling, teddy managed to rest his soft paw on middle C. Plink! The gentle note echoed through the empty hall. He gave himself a small bow before moving on to the pulpit and to see what it would be like to deliver a sermon. (He imagined his message would mostly be about being kind to one another by sharing cookies and giving hugs.)

We’re happy to report that the lost teddy is now back home, ready for more adventures next Sunday!

This year, we’re teaming up for a bigger mission: instead of our usual Octoberfest Fun Run, Holy Trinity is joining forces with the Food for Others 5K & Fun Run!

Join us on Saturday, September 26th at PenFed Plaza (Tysons Corner Center) as we hit the ground running to tackle hunger in our community. Whether you want to run, walk, or support as a volunteer, we need YOU on the team.

The WELCA Book Club will meet on Saturday, September 12th, in Fellowship Hall. Breakfast buffet will start at 9 AM with book discussion to follow.

Our book for September is "The Miniaturist" by Jessie Burton. It is an enchanting, beautiful and suspenseful novel set in 1686. Eighteen-year-old Nella Oortman arrives in Amsterdam to begin her marriage to Johannes Brandt, an important merchant trader who gives Nella an elaborate dollhouse version of her new home. As she discovers the origin of its furnishings, she learns her husband’s dangerous secret. It’s a story of love and obsession, betrayal and retribution.

Join the OWLS on Wednesday, September 2nd for a fun day at the NOVA Wildlife Safari! We’ll meet at the church at 10:00 AM to carpool over to Vienna for the drive-thru and walking zoo experience. Afterward, enjoy a free lunch on us at Lazy Mike's in Falls Church! Admission is $17 per person.
