ERITREA: PRAYING WITH THE PERSECUTED CHURCH
Join with Christians in prayer on or around May 24, 2026 as we collectively intercede.
Why We Are Praying? Many Christians in Eritrea continue to follow Jesus under severe pressure. Churches are restricted, believers worship quietly, and pastors have been detained for decades. Yet the Church remains steadfast, trusting Christ amid suffering.
Scripture reminds us: “Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them.” (Hebrews 13:3)
Pray fervently for the release of 7 Imprisoned Christian Leaders who have been imprisoned for over 20 years, without trial, charges, or family access:

Please pray for…

…recent political and social shifts to open doors for gospel proclamation in Saudi Arabia. Pray for the emergence of a bold, vibrant, and Spirit-filled Saudi church. As the epicenter of Islam, pray that it would become a launching pad for the gospel to the Muslim world.

…Christians in Pakistan who have experienced a wave of violence, including attacks on churches, murders, and rapes that have traumatized the community. Pray for protection, justice, healing, and strength. May the Lord, who sees all injustice, defend the oppressed and bring His peace where fear now reigns.

…the children of the persecuted. Pray for parents or caregivers to have discernment as they answer life’s difficult questions.

The UN reports more than 3.2 million people have been displaced by the war with Iran — with children suffering the most.

One ministry shared this report:
Our teams rescued 18 children. They had lost their parents and were hiding beneath collapsed buildings — trapped under the ruins, as bombings destroyed homes night after night. These children had scattered, hiding wherever they could, waiting… hoping… just to survive.

Our teams searched through the destruction and pulled them out one by one. Yes, each child has a story that will break your heart, but we are providing them hope and a future.

Please pray for all the people of Iran who are suffering due to the war. Also, pray that the Church will be the hands and feet of Jesus--that they would extend the hope that can only be found through Jesus Christ.
