One Voice Fellowship

One Voice Fellowship A new multi-lingual church in Northern Virginia. Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”

• We are multi-lingual.

We gather for fellowship and worship every Sunday 4-7pm.
4-5pm Small Groups for all ages.
5-6pm Family Dinner.
6-7:15pm Worship Service (sermon translation in 15 languages) Our vision is captured best by Romans 15:5-7 —
“May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the Go

d and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray and sing in many languages. Sermon translation is provided every week in Urdu, Arabic, Amharic, Chinese, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, French, Uyghur, Dari, English, Russian, Bulgarian, Turkish and others as the Lord provides. Discipleship happens best in our heart language, and evangelism bears more fruit through bicultural gospel messengers.
• We are intercultural, which means we expect and desire to be transformed by our relationships with our siblings from different backgrounds. We are willing to make changes to accommodate their needs and preferences. And we believe the Body of Christ is more complete when its diverse.
• We are a gospel-centered church, reformed in our theology, and presbyterian in our government. Those three words are listed in order of priority, by the way! The gospel is always most important.

Pastor Chris Sicks spoke about the recent US election during our prayer time at One Voice Fellowship (6-minute video below)
Politics naturally involves conflict between different perspectives on public policy. But we must not allow different views about politics to divide the members of Christ's Body.

How can we love our brothers and sisters who might have voted differenlty than us? How can we appreciate different viewpoints, by focusing on the person rather than the policy we are discussing?

Our pastor, Chris Sicks, wrote this article about helping needy people, in our church and in our communities.
"Our Savior’s heart was magnetically drawn to the poor, the outcast, the sick, and the downtrodden. Do our churches have a reputation of being a haven for the needy and downtrodden? Does our congregation and community think of our churches when they are in trouble or encounter people in need? Do single moms, refugees, widows, and parents of special-needs children know that our churches are eager to welcome, help, and love them? How can we grow in this?"

“So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone,
and especially to those who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:10).

Caring for the poor with effective, compassionate, and transformative mercy ministry is the privileged duty given by God to our deacons and the mercy ministry teams in our churches.

Baptizing our sister Naomi Kapapa was the highlight of Sunday at One Voice Fellowship!

(Matendo Ya Mitume (Acts) 2:38-39)

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” (Acts 2:38-39)
