Even in life’s darkest seasons, God is still near. 🙏

Psalm 42 gives us a beautiful and honest picture of lament. It reminds us that we do not have to hide our sorrow, confusion, grief, or questions from God. He is not afraid of our deepest emotions, and He is able to meet us with compassion when we bring our whole heart before Him.

Lament is not the absence of faith. It is often the bridge between the pain we are carrying and the hope we are still holding onto. The writer of Psalm 42 speaks honestly about his despair, but he also speaks to his own soul: “Put your hope in God.”

When sadness or grief feels heavy, begin by telling God the truth. Remember His promises. Recount His love and care. And even before the season changes, let your heart begin moving toward praise.

No season lasts forever. God is with you in the dark, and joy will come again. ✨

I sat on a promise for almost a year. And while I waited, people I'd sworn to help were quietly going without.
Here's the part nobody warns you about generosity:
It's not the giving that's hard. It's the waiting.
That little voice that whispers, "Not yet. You might need it. You know best."
There's a line written to a church that did the exact same thing I did — they promised, they got praised for it, and then they... stalled.
"God loves a cheerful giver."
Not a guilty one. Not a pressured one. A cheerful one.
And this is what wrecked me: God never makes us wait for what we need. He provides — on time, every time.
So why do we make others wait for what they need?
Generosity was never only about money. It's your time. Your attention. A text. A meal. Five minutes you didn't think you had.
The moment you give the second you see the need, something shifts. Your grip loosens. Your heart softens. And somehow — you always seem to have enough.
Save this for the next time that voice says "not yet":
→ The need in front of you is the opportunity.
→ Don't wait until you feel ready.
→ Give cheerfully. Give now.
Your future self — and someone you haven't even met yet — will thank you.
When was the last time you gave without overthinking it — and what was it that finally pushed you to act? Tell us your story in the comments.

Think about the people in your life who have to be ready for anything at a moment's notice — first responders, surgeons, parents, pilots, teachers. There's something quietly remarkable about a person who shows up steady when everything around them is unpredictable.

Here's a question worth sitting with: What if you were that person for someone today?

Not because you have it all together. Not because you have the right words rehearsed. But because something in you — some quiet hope you've found — is visible in the way you treat people.

That's the kind of life Little Falls Chapel is talking about. Not a performance. Not a checklist. Just a person who's been genuinely changed by love, and it shows — in how they listen, how they respond under pressure, how they treat the person who's rude to them in traffic.

When hope is real in you, you don't have to announce it.
People just ask about it.

So this week — whether you're heading into a hard conversation, a long commute, or another exhausting evening — go with gentleness. Go with patience. Let what's good in you do the talking.

That's preparation enough.

1 Peter 3:15 CSB
[15] but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, ready at any time to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.

Following Jesus costs something.

Salvation is a free gift through faith in Jesus, but following Him means surrendering everything. We are not working to earn His love, but real discipleship calls us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow where He leads.

To take up your cross means laying down your own plans, desires, and priorities so your life can be centered on God’s will—loving Him, loving others, and making disciples.

It is not easy, but nothing this world offers can satisfy like Jesus can. Pleasure fades. Possessions fade. Positions fade. But life in Christ is eternal.

Take a moment and ask yourself: Is there anything I’m holding onto that I have not fully surrendered to Jesus?

The cross may be painful for a moment, but the life Jesus gives is forever.

If you’re looking for a church home or want to grow deeper in your walk with Christ, we invite you to join us at Little Falls Chapel. We would love to worship with you and grow in faith together.

Who am I? It is one of the deepest questions of the human heart.

So many people look for worth in success, opinions, labels, or the approval of others, but those things never truly satisfy. Our true identity is not found in this world. It is found in Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:21 reminds us that Jesus, who knew no sin, took our sin upon Himself so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. Because of His sacrifice, we are not defined by our failures, our past, or what others say about us. In Christ, we are loved, redeemed, and made new.

When we rest in Jesus, we find a worth that is secure and a purpose that is eternal.

We would love for you to join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM at Little Falls Chapel** as we worship together and grow in the truth of God’s Word.

Come as you are. You are welcome here.
