Fit2beKids Summer Camp is coming back next summer!

This past July, we welcomed our very first group of campers to Welburn Gourd Farm for a week of gardening, nutrition, and learning how to care for both body and mind. Watching kids dig into the soil, taste what they grew, and build healthy habits together was everything we hoped for, and we can’t wait to do it again. Keep an eye on our page for early sign-up details.

We’re also excited to share something new. Rooted In Wellness is creating Farm-to-School field trips for elementary, middle, and high school students across North County San Diego, Orange County, and West Riverside County. Each trip will give students hands-on time with sustainable farming, where their food comes from, and simple ways to support their own health, with lessons tailored to every grade level.

Here’s how it works:

- Sign up to sponsor a family
- We’ll match you with a local family and share their holiday wish list, sizes, and preferences
- Shop for and wrap their gifts
- Drop them off at Fallbrook Food Pantry

Not able to sponsor a full family? You can still help by giving a Christmas tree to a family through our Wood Mountain fundraiser, or by giving any amount to our holiday fund.

Thanks to you, we've raised ~$48,000 so far for our Under One Roof campaign!
We're that much closer to our $150,000 goal!

Every gift has brought us closer to repairing the roof that keeps our pantry running, and we are so grateful for this community. But we aren't there yet. The roof protects the food, the volunteers, and the families who come through our doors every week, and keeping our day-to-day operations strong takes support from all of us.

🎨 In case you missed it!

Join us for a Paint and Sip night at 127 West Social House!

On Thursday, November 5th from 5-7, local artist Avery T. Kreamer will lead a cozy 2-hour painting session inspired by Van Gogh and our own Fallbrook Scarecrow Days, with Gogh's painting "Wheatfield with Crows" as a guide. All skill levels are encouraged to join!

No experience needed. Everyone from first-timers to seasoned painters is welcome. You'll go home with a finished painting, a full belly, and the good feeling of knowing your evening helped neighbors in need.

$75 per person includes food, drinks, and all painting materials.

💛🦃 Help us put a holiday meal on the table for families in our community

Every year, our Annual Turkey & Ham Giveaway provides local families with a turkey or ham for their holiday meal. For many households, the extra cost of the holidays means choosing between celebrating and covering everyday needs. This tradition helps ease that choice.

This year, the most helpful thing you can give is a frozen turkey.
A note on food safety: please bring frozen turkeys and any refrigerated items straight from the store to the pantry after purchase, so they stay safely frozen or cold until they reach a family.

‼️ Please donate unopened, unexpired items ‼️

We're also collecting holiday meal essentials so families can enjoy a complete Thanksgiving meal:
Sides: boxed mashed potatoes or stuffing, canned green beans, canned corn, yams or sweet potatoes, boxed macaroni and cheese, dinner rolls or shelf-stable bread
Fixings: turkey gravy (packets, jars, or cans), canned cranberry sauce, cream of mushroom soup, French fried onions, marshmallows
Desserts: canned pumpkin or pie filling, pie crust mix or shelf-stable crusts, holiday dessert mixes
Kitchen supplies: disposable aluminum roasting pans and baking pans

Drop-off: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM

EFAP Week! 🥑

This week, Fallbrook Food Pantry is one of nearly 90 sites across San Diego County distributing food through the Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP).
Here's how it works. USDA purchases the food, the San Diego Food Bank delivers it to partner sites like ours, and our team makes sure it reaches our neighbors in Fallbrook.

The food arrives at no cost to us. Everything it takes to get it into our neighbors' hands does not. Unloading deliveries, storing food safely, staffing distribution all week long, and keeping our doors open, under a roof that needs repair, all depend on community support. Fallbrook Food Pantry does not receive government funding to run our programs. That work is made possible by donors and volunteers like you.

If you or someone you know could use extra groceries, EFAP distribution runs Monday through Friday this week, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, plus Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. No pantry card is needed.
