Thomas Smith Vass Obituary
Mr. Thomas Smith “Tommy” Vass age 70 of Fairview passed away Tuesday August 18, 2026, at his residence. Visitation will be Monday August 24, 2026, from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton. There will be a private graveside service at Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville, KY with Mr. Jamey Vass officiating.
Mr. Tommy was born February 2, 1956, in Hopkinsville, KY. He was a butcher for Piggly-Wiggly in Hopkinsville, KY. Mr. Tommy was member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Fairview, he was also a member of the Western Kentucky Antique Power Association. He loved carpentry and all types of woodworking. Tommy enjoyed UK Basketball and antique Allis-Chalmers Tractors. He is preceded in death by his parents James Edward Vass and Ester Claudene Smith Vass, his brother Robert Vass.
He is survived by his son Jade Latham of Fairview, KY, his brothers James Vass Jr. and his wife Emily and David Vass all of Fairview. Grandchildren Jaylon Elliott Latham and Jada Nicole Latham, his nephew and nieces and several great nephews and nieces.
