31 Μαΐου 2026 – Πεντηκοστή

Την εορτή της Πεντηκοστής γιορτάζουμε τα γενέθλια της Εκκλησίας. Οι Μαθητές λαμβάνουν το Άγιο Πνεύμα με τη μορφή πυρίνων γλωσσών και ξεκινούν να κηρύττουν το Ευαγγέλιο σε όλα τα έθνη. Τελούμε τον Εσπερινό και γονατίζουμε στις ευχές που διαβάζει ο ιερέας. Απευθύνουμε την προσευχή «Βασιλεῦ Οὐράνιε» στον Παράκλητο, δηλαδή στο Άγιο Πνεύμα, και Τον παρακαλούμε να έλθει και να μείνει μέσα μας και να μας καθαρίσει από κάθε κηλίδα αμαρτίας.

Η Δευτέρα μετά την Πεντηκοστή λέγεται Δευτέρα του Αγίου Πνεύματος και είναι επίσης μεγάλη γιορτή.

May 31, 2026 – Holy Pentecost

On the feast of Pentecost, we celebrate the birthday of the Church. The Disciples receive the Holy Spirit in the form of fiery tongues and begin to preach the Gospel to all nations. We celebrate the Vespers and kneel during the prayers that the priest is reading. We pray to the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, with the prayer “Heavenly King,” and we ask Him to come and dwell in us and cleanse us of every stain of sin.

The Monday after Pentecost is called Monday of the Holy Spirit and is also a great feast.

29 Μαΐου 2026 – Εκδρομή στο Πάρκο με το Ελληνικό Σχολείο

Απίστευτο πως φτάσαμε στο τέλος της σχολικής χρονιάς! Όπως κάθε χρόνο, τα παιδιά του Ελληνικού Σχολείου πήγαν εκδρομή στο πάρκο. Έπαιξαν, έφαγαν νόστιμα φαγητά από το Circle Pizza, απόλαυσαν παγωτό που γενναιόδωρα μας προσέφερε το Dairy Cream και καρπούζι προσφορά της κ. Kathy Coyle και πέρασαν αξέχαστα! Ευχαριστίες και στο αστυνομικό τμήμα του Fairview για τη βοήθειά τους!

May 29, 2026 – A Day at the Park for the Last Day of Greek School

It is hard to believe that the school year has come to an end. Continuing the tradition of many years, our Greek school went to Roosevelt Park and had a blast for the last day of school! The kids played, ate delicious food from Circle Pizza, enjoyed ice cream generously donated by Dairy Cream and watermelon offered by Mrs. Kathy Coyle, and had an unforgettable time! Our thanks also to the Fairview Police Department for their assistance!

We look forward to seeing you all at the Greek School graduation on Sunday!

30 Μαΐου 2026 – Ψυχοσάββατο

Το Σάββατο πριν την εορτή της Πεντηκοστής, η Εκκλησία μας θυμάται όλους τους κεκοιμημένους από τον Αδάμ μέχρι και σήμερα, που αποτελούν τη Θριαμβεύουσα Εκκλησία.

Γι’ αυτό εμείς στη γη, που αποτελούμε την Στρατευομένη Εκκλησία, τελούμε τα μνημόσυνα, τα οποία δίνουν φως και παρηγοριά στις ψυχές των κεκοιμημένων.

Σας περιμένουμε αύριο στην εκκλησία να γιορτάσουμε όλοι μαζί τη μεγάλη αυτή γιορτή της Πεντηκοστής!

This is why we on Earth, who comprise the Church Militant, offer memorial services, which shine light and comfort to the souls who have departed.
