This summer we will go on a Kingdom Quest! We’ll explore the stories of Gideon, Samson, David, Josiah, and others. We’ll also discover what Jesus says about the Kingdom of God and how we are called to live for His Kingdom today.

We had a great Spring Advance this past weekend! 35 campers and 12 volunteers came together for a time of fellowship, games, and learning from Gods Word. Together we learned about the will of God. Gods will can be complex, but in other ways it’s more simple than we might think. Gods will is not mainly about our success and achievements— it’s about our salvation and transformation. For believers His will for us is that we would be holy as He is holy. That we would be filled with the spirit. We would live a life that honors Him and that we would live a thankful in all things.

We had 1 teenager who made a profession of faith this weekend! Praise be to God! Grateful for all God did over this weekend.

Spring Advance is next Friday-Sunday! If you’re looking for a weekend filled with fun and teaching from Gods Word for your teenager then make sure to sign them up! Over the weekend we’ll be learning about what the will of God is for our lives. In some ways it may be more simple than we think.

If possible, a donation of $25 would help with the cost of the weekend. Though as always camp is free and no child is charged to come!

We are also doing something new as part of our entry for this weekend. We are collecting nonperishable food items. Whatever we collect will be distributed to our local elementary school to be given to families in need. The heart of the ministry is to help children and their families in whatever way we can. We hope you will join us in this!

Return camper applications are making their way out! If you had a camper who was here last year, you should receive an application in the mail soon. If you do not receive one or your kid didn’t come to camp last year, you can download one from our website, Campgoodnewsnc.org. Or you can also request one be mailed to you! Hey friends! We would love for you to join us for a benefit singing Saturday, April 11, at God’s Way Baptist Church in Swannanoa NC. The proceeds will go to helping the ministry of Camp Good News!

Pastor Johney Reigns and the folks at Gods Way have been a big part of helping the community in Swannanoa, especially in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. They have also been so kind to us through the years. We are grateful for their partnership and for their help on this event! Middle Cross will be the lead group. They are great! You don’t want to miss it.

Games for the kids will start at 3pm. Dinner and singing will start at 6pm. $5 a plate for dinner! Hope to see you all there!!

Hello Friends & Families,
Winter Advance 2026 was fantastic! We hope your campers enjoyed their time and benefited from it greatly. Thank you to all our volunteers and counselors who help make it happen. Also big thanks to Joshua for leading worship on Friday and big thanks to Mr.Dennis for teaching the Bible lesson Friday from Ephesians 6.

Our theme was about Endurance/Perseverance.

If you have a teenager who would like to attend please sign them up! As always this is a free weekend for your camper and if you would like to donate it’s very appreciated but it’s not required for attendance.
