The vast majority of pastors serve small churches.

Many are bi-vocational.

They serve sacrificially, out of a sense of calling and wear a dozen hats.

They are always on the clock.

None of them will ever be well known…and they don’t care.

They are just doing what God asked them to do.

They are “good and faithful servants.”

Thank you all!

And if you attend a small church, let your pastor know how much they are appreciated!

My biggest concern about publishing books the past couple of years has been the cost. Books are not $6 any more. Cost limits accessibility. I have given away all the books I can to people who can’t afford them (you have seen my posts) but the reality is that I have to buy my own books and pay for postage. It is untenable on a wide scale. We are at a wide scale.

For a limited time, I have been given a Invite Resources discount code and granted permission to share it with you all. This code takes an automatic 30% off any of my books purchased directly from the publisher at check-out. This takes about $5 off the cost of “That’s Good News” and “The PING Life” and about $6 off the cost of the Trail Guides! It takes about $15 off the Leader’s Kits!
Use the code as many times as you like. You are free to share this code with others.

Additionally, churches, classes and small groups planning summer and fall studies, can access the “Bulk Discounts” option at checkout if they are ordering several books. Place your order, get the bulk discount AND use the code to get up to 50% off of your books! This takes around $9 off the cost of “That’s Good News, $8.50 off “The PING Life” and about $10 off the cost of the Trail Guides! It takes about $25 off the Leader’s Kits!

The code is:
IPBISHOP30

Here is the link: Just type in the search which book you are looking for!

I have also been told this code applies to ANY Invite Resources book you order and in any amount!

Thank you Len Wilson and Invite Resources for making this possible!

I have had three more churches contact me this week. If anyone else is planning a book study of The PING Life, Trail Guide to I Peter or That's Good News in 2024, I just found out that Invite Resources is running a HUGE Christmas hard copy book sale through Sunday. All are almost half off.

Here is the Invite link:

WE ARE ALL SET!

Our next “Navigating Change Pastor's One Day Conference” will be held on Thursday, October 12 from 9:00-3:00. Registration begins at 8:30.

The theme will be “Deep
and Wide.” How do pastors both go deep (spiritual growth) and wide (leveraging the various aspects of pastoral ministry to reach new people)? We will also have a “Talking Shop” segment, a Q&A and a closing prayer service. We will live stream the conference from 9::00-12:00 CST.

As always, the conference is free but pastors need to register. Our cafe will be open for specialty coffee, smoothies, snacks and a lunch from Joe's Pizza & Pasta of Fairview Heights will be provided if you wish to purchase. Regular coffee and the “Navigating Change” mug that goes with it are free. The Bookstore & Café at Christ Church will be open as well.

We are capping participants at 25. This is a “quality, not quantity” kind of thing.

To register, call Teri or Sarah at 618-277-4659.

PASTORS:

I would be honored to become your new volunteer Director of Evangelism (meaning I know something about the topic and I work for free).

Here is the scoop: I believe it is time (or soon time) for congregations to emerge from a "pandemic/culture wars/denominational implosion" induced survival mentality and get retooled to share the Good News!

I have a burning PING from God to help churches put evangelism on the front burner and equip "regular Christians" to share their faith. Teaching your people to evangelize will make disciples, grow your church and win people to Jesus! I simply can't see a down side.

Several churches are kicking off "That's Good News" book studies this summer to equip laity to share thier faith, doing an accomanying evangelism sermon series and then entering a comprehensive "invite folks to church" fall campaign.

We are doing just that with our 500 Initiative and are seeing incredible results! Our people are overcoming fear and new people are showing up everywhere!
If your church has interest in equipping your people and conducting a future evangelism initiative, I would love to help get you started!

My time is limited but my passion for Jesus has no limits!

You can contact me at:
[email protected]

I will have my assistant set up a time to talk that works for both of us.

Blessings to you all!
